Just some basic stuff that I thought might be useful, based on my admittedly short modding experience so far. But it's just basic stuff.

The text box one is why I'd like a script editor that tells me how many characters are in each line... the cursor running to the next line is so annoying.

Ah, these are some most wonderful picture-type guides! Very clean to look at and obviously a lot of work went into them.
I think a sticky would be nice to make sure any new modders get to see it...

EDIT: Regarding the equal signs (=), I believe they only turn into big dots when using text or EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!, since I seem to remember them not working with commas or full stops. I'm sure that something other than <TSC functions stop them...
Also I'm not sure this is the right forum for modding stuff ._.

Wow, great helpful tips and information, Lyger! You must've put a lot of effort into making this.

That's amazing information. I second the suggestion of stickying it, but it should also be moved to the Hacking forum.

From DragonBoots Lab of Finite Horror, come the his addition to this topic:

Download the Microsoft Excel Cave Story Weapons Data

The only note I'd like to add is that the Spur damage (which is not listed on the XLS, other than being "Lots") is on a per-unit of length of the beam, so...
Best guess puts the damage at:
Level 2 Charge: 80 (6/length)
Level 3 Charge: 120 (8/length)
Level 3 MAX: 240 (16/length)

1 Length = 1 Block = 1 Range, so it's (DMG per Length) x 15 lengths

However, seeing as it is nearly impossible to hit an enemy head-on, the damage varies signifigantly. As well, the damage carries through like the Fireball (it is halved). Finally, seeing as most enemies die from just a half-second of Spur at any level, calculating damage is purely guess work. The values above were the maximum working values could achieve, but I might be off.

Absolutely. Should be moved to modding/hacking forum first.

This forum doesn't need any more stickies. We have too many right now.
And shouldn't the Sue's Workshop and Cave Editor stickies be moved to the Hacking/Modding forum as well?

But then I got distracted by my own mod.

I's got them

Oh, that actually went down rather recently, as I've saved them awhile ago, myself.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind, if his account's gone activate, and I can just delete them whenever he gets back, so here:

Hmm, for some reason the first one just wants to upload tiny, though I could expand the one I have for easy readability without loss of quality...
You might have to just save it onto your computer in order to zoom in.

Maybe try splitting it into multiple smaller imagers?
