Why is a reason necessary? I mean, most of the mimigas wear blue.

Thats a good point. I mean its not like the mimigas have a vast array of colors to chose from. The blue is prob. from the jellyfish.

Its either the jellyfish, or one of the big blue blobs. The reason they have no other color is because Arther killed it for them, but died before he could get another color.
