Its really the guy's writing style. I really didn't mean it to offend anyone, hence the whole "CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK" thing.

I don't feel like clicking the link right now, but if it's REALLY written that poorly, it's either a joke or the author is just not skilled. I bet you that if I really wanted, I could make an erotic story about humanized sprigs of broccoli hot, but I don't really have any reason to write someone like that right now. The author of that must simply lack skill if it doesn't do something for you, even if it's not something you'd normally be into. That's my opinion!

ANYWAY, I daresay that any smut written concerning Mimigas--throughout the story of Cave Story--couldn't be true anyway. With all the depressing/enraging stuff going on, being separated from each other so much, held in captivity largely away from each other, being forced to work for the Doc, etc. I doubt sex is on their minds, even if they're rabbits. Every comment anyone makes about it is really just for flavor or to mess around; it's obvious that creatures with that level of intelligence probably think about sex just as much as a human, but given their situation, I highly doubt it's at all important for any of them during the storyline of that game, anyway (EXCEPT CHACO. But she takes what she can get, no matter what it is)

Of course, it's the specialty of good fiction writers to take things that may have not actually happened--in real life or even in other works of fiction--and make them believably "happen" in their story regardless, but again, if it even smells remotely of "joke" to you, they simply weren't a good enough writer.

The fic appears to be about Chaco x Quote, more or less fleshing out what was implied when you get the lipstick. I didn't read it all though.

And I don't think people really need a reason to write smut, or at least it won't stop them.

I'm just saying *if* they weren't terrible at writing and actually cared, it could be done well, it wouldn't seem like "a joke". It's not like I care about writing stuff like that, but even still, it makes me shake my head when another piece like that that people can't even tell if it's a joke or not comes to my attention.

To be honest it doesn't seem that badly written, I just don't know if Cult thinks that people take written smut (or furries) seriously, hence maybe he thought it was a joke.

I would post some of it but it IS rather explicit. Also I'm probably not the best to judge quality either, since I don't read much smut/fanfic (not saying they're the same, just saying I don't read either of the 2 normally). Doesn't seem to be badly written.

[EDIT]: A bit of it does seem cheesey, at least what they say. I don't know I don't plan to read it anymore. :/

Well, usually in this section even the slightest, most out-there possible assumption of anything that even MIGHT have happened is acceptable if it pushes a certain theory or idea. And when you get right down to it, there is very little Mimiga stuff going on that could be considered a 'romantic' relationship, unless this is just a thread about Mimiga relationships in general and the tone of the posters has lead my thinking astray...

But yeah, Chaco x Quote I'd still say is something substantial enough to be part of this thread; lipstick stuff aside, she really seems to have a thing going for Quote at the King's Table. She pretty much swoons over him.

Chaco had never met Quote before and never spoke to him again after "something" happened. She clearly doesn't have a thing for Quote because there's nothing she would have experienced in the time Quote was at her house that would have caused this (sans lipstick, which doesn't count).

 

We know the way Chaco talks and the fact she slept with Quote xD (definition of "slept with" varies lol)
