Was looking for alternatives since it crashed on me in mid session ;)
[I think it was a soundcard AC97' thing conflict, now resolved]

Well, it's actually an Image editor, but it is pretty damn cool.

Yay a working link to Orgasm to those interested.

Try it, but don't expect to be wowed by it's performance or wanting to switch over, although if you do it'd boost me ego just a bit.

I'll probably remake it in something faster than VB like Java, or even faster, c++, some day.

Seconded. Every ORG I've made so far has been in ORG Maker.

Help! Whenever I try to replace the Orgs in Cave Story with my own, when I save it says "Cannot rename original file. Saving cancelled." I followed all the directions in the first post in this thread, but it won't work.

Make sure that the doukutsu folder isn't "read-only". You'll have to edit the folder's properties to change this.

are you using noxid's ORGkutsu hack?
If not, you have to format and limit your drum tracks D:

Then save it as a different filename :greydroll:
@cult that would only cause a runtime crash, not a saving error

@cultr1 I don't think that's it. If it is, what are the limits?

@Noxid When I do that I can't find it and/or can't open it. Sometime it doesn't show up in the folder I save it in, and when it does it asks me what program I want to use to open it. So it definitely isn't saved as a normal .exe file.

that's because you
A) need to pay attention to where you're saving it to
B) add the ".exe" to the filename when you save it so windows knows what to do with it.

I know where I'm saving it to. When I go into Resource Hacker and click "open" and browse for it, it's there. It just doesn't appear when I'm browsing folders regularly.

Also, I will try adding .exe

EDIT: It worked! I found the file and it saved as an .exe! But when I open it I get an error that says something like "A-pftf@fcf<,A"C,ß,E,[cent sign]" except some of the letters have accents or are italicized.

check error.txt ...........
did you save the exe somewhere that wasn't the same place as before?
And for god's sake, dont' have doukutsu.exe in your My Programs folder. Or Resource Hacker for that matter.
you don't seem to be very good at solving problems without handholding
