Just a note about this:
Relying on External Hard drives to store valuble files is a critical mistake. Most of External Hard drives are not that safe and should be only used as backups or files transporter. I have seen such issue with sooo many people both in real in on the Net.

Exception to the above: Your internal HDD is almost older than you.

 

I never really knew much about the project, as with most mods I just assumed it would never really be finished and just kind of forgot about it.

It's not a mod though, it is a complete engine rewrite of Cave Story.

I remember experimenting with this back when Hippie lived.
Kinda reminded me of Halo Zero in terms of multiplayer functionality, but it was definantly as start.
I also tried plugging in an early version of my mod; turns out it'd be a good multiplayer one.

Ps. For those who don't know, Halo Zero is a freeware 2-D unofficial version of Halo.

What about editors? There are no complete cave story editors to this very day.
