Is It Illegal To Distribute The Nemesis and Machine Gun Challenge Files?

So, I'm a mac user, and I have mac CS+ running, but nicalis never gave the nemesis and machine gun challenges to the mac version. I want to take the files add them to the game like any other mod. Can someone give me those? Is that Illegal?

If you bought it from the Humble Store then download the windows or linux versions, copy the mod folders from the data folder and add in the missing entries from mods.txt.

DO NOT post any of those files here. Keep them to yourself.

If you bought the game on Steam then sign onto steam from a Windows PC and grab the files that way.

Send me a screenshot of both the contents of CS+'s data folder in finder and an open text document via email with your username written (in the same screenshot). If I am going to send you the files then I need proof that you actually own CS+ for Mac.

Again I must stress that you never EVER post these files anywhere on the internet, or participate in any action that would lead to them being posted on the net. This is condition upon me giving you the files.

As a mac user I should start a campaign to bring the "lost data folder" bugfix to nicalis' attention, so that they know how painfully easy it is to fix the issue.

Granted the reason they aren't doing it is because it costs some amount money to fix and they have to go through the internal review/testing process and whatnot for an older port, but still.

If NICALiS ever went through the play testing phase, then why do you think they had: Broken Leaderboards, Bad Music (WiiWare), Broken Software (Mac), Broken Achievements, and Numerous bugs in the WiiWare ver. at launch.

I'm pretty sure they don't care about play testing, and most of these things are super easy.

 

Effectively Apple broke things by changing how relative paths worked, or something along those lines. Nicalis just never bothered updating CS+ to fix it, or to add later additions like said challenge modes or the seasonal stuff.

If you own a steam copy, you own a windows copy. Therefore you have the right to get access to the TextScripts and Included Mods Nicalis :b:roke in the Mac version.

 

I have already noted that. The Steam and Humble Store versions allow you to download the same game for multiple platforms without having to buy the game all over again. That said he doesn't have the Steam version, nor the Humble Store version, but rather the App Store version. This means that he would have had to buy the game all over again just to get the windows port mod files.
