While we're on this subject, I'm going to say that my older brother introduced me to video games, and we were a PC household. I remember playing Gorillas and Snake on our first computer, then Dark Forces and Myst on the second one.

Where all my PC bros at? You know, since Cave Story is a PC game.

A better question.

Which is more well known. The Cave Story Forums? Or that the other forums by the guys who did the Wii version?

Seeing as those other forums don't even exist anymore, I'd guess these ones.

Wait, really? Why would Nicalis close their forums?

if I would ever have children (yeah, no) I would totally buy them an SNES, and a PS2, which were probably the best systems in terms of games available IMO

Cave Story is not very well known. Things like Call of Duty, Crysis and other "trendy" games swap away the attention for obvious reasons. The platformer, freeware game loving gamers are in minority. In their circles Cave Story is a must, but the majority is following mainstream trends. I think that`s all.

Ever heard of the internet, flea markets or friends? I mean come on, they [the Snes/PS2] aren't that hard to find.

:debug: This is a forums, not a school. Threads usually get off topic, but then someone always loops the conversation around again. The mods/admins won't close every thread that gets off topic, that would be too difficult (I know this is a small forums, but bear with me).

I've already posted my "on-topic" post for this thread, so I don't have much more to add.

See, that statement has the same problem as Meta's, namely, there isn't really proof for it.
On the other hand, my estimate was a 100% true.

Make a T shirt "play cave story", or just do Cave Story related crazy stunts so that Failblog/RWJ would pick your vid. There would be many new players for sure for a loss of one. J/k
