Ohh an art collab. Can I join? 0w0
Wait, is the deadline just for people joining or is it the date we have to turn in whatever we drew?

Yeah, what TLincoln said.
Also yeah, anyone of any art calibur can join. :D
sorry for double posting

Alright! The deadline has officially passed for signing up!
Now we get to discuss things about the wallpaper that we wouldn't usually!
So to start off, I don't actually know how we're going to transfer the wallpaper between one another, as, of course, the wallpaper WILL be containing each of our art styles. Any suggestions? I was going to go with Dropbox but eh.

Secondly, we need to find out how big the wallpaper canvas is going to be.
To do that, I kinda need all of the participating people in this collab's desktop resolutions.
An example: my laptop resolution is 1366 x 768. It's essentially just how big your computer/laptop screen is.
Now the reason WHY I need them is stated in the original post, but for those that didn't read it, essentially, we're going to average all of the resolutions for a common screen size.
I can't think of any other issues/things to do or think or talk about, so uh, get cookin'!
also yes i am not tired what gave you that idea

Bad idea. It'd be much better to just find the most common resolution or to just go for the highest. There's only a couple sizes for resolution out there, so averaging would get you a wallpaper that doesn't fit anyone's computer.

Oh, you're right.
...
Then finding out which of our desktop resolutions is the highest is the way to go about this?

1920x1080 is the only correct answer

Yeah 1920x1080 is likely the best way to go about it.
As for like transferring it or what have you, I guess we could pass it between each other based on like a list (ie person a to person b etc) or I guess we could just have a size for what the drawing of ourselves needs to be and just draw the characters over a transparency for you (or whomever is putting it together, likely you?) to arrange on the final background. I don't know, it's up to you ultimately. Just some ideas.

-1920x1080 is the only way to go.
-I'm not sure what 1080p is.
-I don't think that'd be a good way to go about it, Kuro, but those are ideas, after all. I'm still kind of liking the idea of using dropbox for it.
But there is one thing of your idea that I like. Maybe I could make a dropbox folder for the wallpaper, then share it with one person, then once they're done making their edit, remove them from le share list and then share with someone else.
I don't know if you can do that, but if you can, hell yeah.

So spirit basically you want to do the same thing as what kuro suggested but make it harder to deal with

Achuchupfff.
I don't know.
Basically dropbox and a few choice others are the only way I know as to share files. I'm not sure how it would be "harder", exactly, but...
If we were to go with Kuro's idea*, then how would we pass it through to each member on the list?

*idea, ideas, take your pick.

I demand original Gardevoir art by world renowned artist Polaris! ;~;
No but seriously Polaris you should contribute. I'd love to see your artwork. :3
I'm not even very good at that, though. :p

I appreciate the sentiment, but maybe next time. It's better in the hands of the fine men and women who signed up. :D

By the way, this kind of reminds me of ElecMaw's awesome anniversary picture. Good luck, you guys :3

fyi it could be a good idea to schedule something where everyone can do a quick sketch together on something like iscribble and see how things work with each other before going all-out on the final one

That's...actually a good idea.
The question is when that should happen...'cause there's also the issue of timezones and places and whatnot.
Sooo I dunno.

Use dibs to determine the list

Use the list twice - for the first "round", each person does a quick sketch and we see how it lines up, and we can change it around if we need to

For the second, we each make our actual pieces of art once everything is settled

Oh...kay?
You seem to understand it much more than I do, Doors, which is probably a good thing.
itotallyputyouinchargeofit

sorryfordoubleposting

So IScribble apparently hates me, so I can't really use it and as such I can't determine how the sketches will be or whatever, so I assume we'll have to go for another alternative.

Oh right.
Yeah, we could and should.
...so how do we determine a list? Unless we're going to make a list with people saying "dibs" and then making the list as that goes on...oh wait, is that the point?
