Lamesauce :(

I'm up to the core now.

I dunno how amazing this run is yet, but I'm not afraid to re-do it if it doesn't turn out as great as it needs to be.

Also I am done playing for now, anyone who watched/talked thank you :(

I will probably play more tomorrow night (it's 3:40am here now!)

Also I'm sorry if it bores you to watch me die like a billion times to get one little thing right >_>

ahhhhhHHHHHHHHHHH YOU spend the whole however many hours people are watching you doing that grasstown thing then suddenly beat it and do half the rest of the game as soon as we're gone fffffffffff

you lil TEASE

well anyway at least you did get past that part.

almost makes me wanna try streaming something like megaman or mario world or metroid that I'm really good at though I'd never attempt a perfect speedrun even on my own like that lmao

Well speedruns do kind of tend to take place over at least the order of weeks, over which time all the little mistakes get ironed out. Not that I'm saying it needs to, but you don't have to do the whole thing in a couple of sessions if there are a few really annoying parts you want to get right. I also noticed that you weren't backing up profile.dat after each segment, which I think would be really useful if you only wanted to start the run over from a certain point; it's not illegal or anything, the Diablo II runs do it, for example.

I get the sound alright, but does anyone get the video moving smoothly?

Yeah I haven't been.

In my head this is kinda a rough draft run, I probably will redo it.

Haha yeah sorry but that's kinda how it goes...it already takes a ton of attempts on some parts, that part especially because I only have like a 1 in 8 chance of getting an opportunity to try the actual segment.

I wish you had said something :x I'd have tried to fix it for you. Is it really choppy or something?

It's sorta like a webcam, like 2 fps or something. I'm just wondering if that's normal

No, that's very unusual. It should be closer to 20 optimally

For me it was probably closer to 10-15 fps or so when I watched it last night. Like, quite choppy, but watchable. I just figured that's the extent of the equipment you own and that there'd be no point in bringing it up.

THEN AGAIN, you did mention having a super expensive computer, so you can probably figure out a way to make the FPS higher since you seem to be using a recording program rather than a webcam. I don't know what affects the FPS of a recording program other than the quality of the program itself and I guess the power of your computer?

My computer is pretty good, I was recording with hypercam at 50fps and using another program to record my screen for ustream all at the same time and it was fine

But still ustream can only do 23fps at the max so that's the problem there.

yeah, I figured there'd be something like that due to bandwidth...

In that case it was probably running fairly close to perfect for me, lol. Seemed to be for Mr. Fist too.

Why do you have to so late? Right when I went to sleep...

That's always how it goes though, lol

I'll be playing for a little bit right now. Maybe a couple hours or so. Stream link is still in the first post.

Apparently there's bounties to be gotten on speeddemosarchives for Cave Story runs now sooo...a new motivation has taken me hah.

There's a bounty on a low% Single Segment run as well :X

I have much practicing to do.
