I think I got the bad ending...

Does this game have multiple endings? I just finished it and everyone died except Sue's mum, Itoh, Sue's Brother Sue and Quote. I can't believe Curly Brace died.. well at least she died a heroes death.

Its the normal ending... The bad ending is when you escape with Kazuma.

 

The other ending is The Hell Ending or Best Ending.

There is no best, its more abnormal than best, its just the special ending

BAAHH, why does everyone always think that everyone dies when the island falls? If everyone died then why would there be cutscenes in the credits that show them being alive?

 

i would consider everyone alive and all the baddies being dead the best ending

Well alot of the main characters died, like King, Curly Brace and.. I think there's more I can't remember right now

12 Charakters are a lot, actually only 4; Prof. Booster, King, Toroko and Curly died...

Well I personally think its not the best ending, I consider it more like a special, an extra ending...

 

Booster doesn't die, he finds his way to Jenka's place, doesn't he?

 

He was wounded and he is a very old man, there aren't much hope for him
And all the folks that were in the island.... Well.... The island was falling in the ground, there aren't too much hope for 'em.

 

Booster only survives if you don't get the Booster 0.8. It might be his ticket to freedom... I haven't checked recently but, I don't think Booster will show up in the ending cinematics if he dies.

Booster DEFINITELY dies when he gives you Booster 8.0
he exploded like anything that dies in Cave Story

so if you are playing the bad ending and see booster still alive, it hints that there isstill another BETTER ending.

creating three difrent ending credits just didnt seem to be an option for Pixel.

I guess you meant the good ending, because the bad ending doesn't have any credits...

And I haven't verified it myself, does Booster show up in the credits for Jenka's house if you get the v0.8 booster?

 

I don't know if he shows up in the 0.8 credits or not, but I do know that the credits do reflect the ending you've gotten - if you get the Best Ending (Hell) you see a few added scenes and some of the scenes are altered - Instead of Balrog in the clinic it becomes Pooh Black, you don't see an image of the helicopter, you see a picture of Misery standing on the Balcony, etc.

I agree that the special ending is the best ending: Island no go boom.

Except for the fact that you never see the other people again and spend the rest of your life with Curly and Balrog.

Really, there is no good ending because you're only a robot and you have no memory, no purpose (anymore) and no home to go back to.
