As for the progress of others: Lowell, wedge and JetHawk all say they can probably get theirs done, it'll just take some weeks.
Whoa whoa, I said I might get the next room done in a week or so. {Just now finished getting the simple two-frame animation working for Butes...}
I doubt I'll completely finish this in time for the deadline, sorry...
{Unless someone knowledgeable in SMW assembly spriting could lend a hand :(;}

Whenever a vote is, should a similar poll be held at Nicalis?

THAT'S an interesting thought...
I've visited the Nicalis Forums once, and I hate the
white color scheme. I don't know, the whole forum just looked less neat than MiraiGamer, so I lost interest.

I saw WTF? Story and King's Story there though.

Holy jesus what?! No! ;_; How many times do I have to say that advertising this crap around is a bad idea?

We've barely got enough entries for a vote on this site, let alone getting another involved. This thing might as well be half-experimental.

Sheesh, don't get so worked up, I didn't do anything. I don't know what you said about advertising it.

That... doesn't happen on my version D: Did you change the script anywhere at all? I tried the mod myself again before and it worked, and I don't think igotsthepower had that problem. Maybe try re-downloading it (keep the save file) and try again, if Heavy Press still isn't appearing then I'll check the mod/link out.

No changes in the script at all. Just added some tiles (blocks) above the spikes in the PREVIOUS room, but no change at the script at all. I upload it to you.

Maybe it`s only at my comp., but maybe it`s something about flags, like I didn`t talk to everybody or something like that...

Review update: I liked the Ballos type lightnings too...I`ll continue playing it...

Well, he's definitely not there in your version, but he definitely IS there in mine. All I can think of is that you might have inadvertently touched something while putting in the blocks, and Heavy Press is one of those picky map-bound bosses. To be certain, I'll upload THotS one more time and update the link in my earlier post.

See if you can make it without editing it again, or just change the script so that it doesn't remove the Booster 2.0. I noticed you had the Fireball with you in that save file. If you're having trouble where I think you are (the area after the "swimming pool") I think you'll find it very useful there :(

Don't feel bad, Wedge

Yeah, I haven't even finished the next room for SLH...
{Might not even be able to do it, if I can't figure out how to make the Y and X speeds not mess with each other and work as the same time, but that's apparently how SMW typically does it...}
I've also been getting tons of work lately, so what little progress I've made has come to a stop...

Fffffffffffffff we need more than 4 entrants, but I really can't justify the contest going any longer than this D: I think someone will have to show some major evidence of progress before the end of Feb, otherwise we'll just have to make do.

I understand about being busy and stuff. Ah well, maybe there will be future contests now! :rolleyes:

Maybe we should advertise a little more.

Like make an announcement whenever there is a contest or something.

Idea

1) I think we should be flexibile with the deadline since so many people want to contribute. Btw. this is according to the original terms in 1st post:

whyme said:
The contest ends when nobody wishes to participate anymore.

2) A good compromise also is to make a ranking about every month (or after some other period we agree on, {maybe now?}), listing the winners for that month; but leaving to contest open. New mods will be judged next month, and so on. When we declare the contest TRULY FINISHED, then we could judge which mods were the best in the WHOLE contest (but listing the winners in each month too).

I think most of the forum visits the mods section daily anyway, and like I said I'm not remotely keen on advertising off-site. 8 mods isn't really a bad turnout at all, it's just that only 4 of them are finished >_>
MAKE ONE

@trickybilly: The deadline has already been extended several times, and I just have to wonder what a sensible length of time for something relatively simple to make should be. There's also real-time and an interest:content balance to consider, if the thread just sits here forever with no new updates folks will just forget about it. Also I know this is a contest but I don't like the idea of it being overly competitive D: Maybe whyme could weigh in on this.
