Well if it's already finished, then go for it. There are quite a few mods out there, and custom weaponry makes the game more enjoyable as long as their done right. Congrats by the way, considering that you haven't asked anything about it, that would mean your one of the few new people who have made large asm hacks with nothing more than the search function.

Not if the bullet sprites fluctuate wildly in [display] size, and are full of holes.

I agree with shoe Lace...in a way.

Couldn't you just use Noxid's code from the shotgun make the pellets travel a much shorter distance and make it an automatic weapon with an extremely short delay?

No, because noxid completely obfuscated his code so nobody could steal the 2x res Hack.
Anyways, it's not a hard hack to make the shotgun, the hard part would be making a zillion bullets, as to simulate the appearance of a flame.

Also Dubby, that is wrong.

This was to prevent porting Cave Story Wii to PC, correct?

Since initially it was a threat to the sales of the Wiiware version (double res being one of its key selling points), they weren't really happy about it. However discussion between us and Nicalis has been rather limited, due to Nicalis' lack of responses.

Doesn't the double res hack take up enough memory that it needs to repllace certain things? Therefore you can't play full Cave Story due to these replacements. Or is that just a thing Noxid does in the application guide so people don't?

Noxid did make the full cave story double res, but he won't be releasing it.
