this is an edited recipe of chocolate chip cookie recipe I got from a high school chem book. personally I've found them to be one of the best homemade cookies you can make, and I wanted to see what everyone thought.
Ingredients
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/3 sticks unsalted butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/3 ( more if you so desire ) cups chocolate chips ( m&n's, chocolate chunks, or a mix of those )
(this amount of ingredients only makes about 24 good size cookies, you can double the amounts to make more.)
Instructions
soften your butter
preheat oven to 350 degrees F (preferably on convection bake)
mix sugars and butter till smooth
add egg, salt, vanilla and mix well
stir in baking soda, flour, and chocolate chips.
bake 12 good size cookies for 9 minutes on convection bake (10 on regular bake)
the only real things I edited from the recipe is the replacement of margerine with butter, and the time in the oven.
for those of you who have good recipes that you want to share, go ahead and share
