I've been discussing ideas for something with my friend... Maybe you guys'll find out what in some time. Makin' some music and designs, too.
...Oh, and sorta working on my mod.
Weather's been nice, but I hate warm weather because of the bees... One day last year I got stung by a yellow jacket because of the nice weather.
I prefer the cold, anyways.

Seems like it finally stopped snowing in DC...at least for the time being. This winter's been the snowiest since '09, I think, and we've had more snowdays here for a long while. On the downside though, it does mean it's been pretty cold here (for anyone living in the general area) and so far, wet and dreary the past 2 days, but you know, that's just spring as usual here.
Project progress has been admittedly a bit...slow on my part, and even moreso that's due to procrastination and just getting distracted a great deal...
Polaris, I heard it's been snowing in the general Chicago area. How much have you guys gotten so far, if any at all?

I can't believe everyone gives this much of a fuck about the weather. You could be discussing anything, and you are talking about the god damn weather.
Let's talk about lethal diseases instead.

Well, in our little part it wasn't so bad - about 2 inches. Other areas of Chicago got up to 7, though. This little winter storm was much more manageable than everyone thought it would be, but this is still apparently the 3rd snowiest season yet.

We've gotten up to 12 inches some storms in the area.

Anyway yeah lethal diseases and gross stuff. I was watching a documentary about Liberia and how at West Point people just shit on the beach cause they don't have toilets. And, like most African countries, malaria and AIDS and other probably poop-related diseases run rampant.

...I'm not joining in that discussion.

Anyways, why the hell does it take like, 2 minutes to validate the install I used for Photoshop when I just want to uninstall it? Makes zero sense...
My computer also felt like it was going to crash when I tried to uninstall WinZip... Shows how slow my computer is, right? Right.
(It's not going to get any faster anyhow since I'm downloading a 1GB file when Photoshop's gone anyways.)

The amount of data on your hard drive doesn't affect your computer's speed unless it's over 90% full or extremely fragmented. Delete some shit and run a defrag (you should do these things regularly). I don't know how else you could speed up your computer without getting new hardware. Maybe check for memory errors?
Edit: I forgot about disabling programs that run in the background (it's in the Startup tab of msconfig). If you're not sure what a program does, google it. If you're still not sure, don't touch it. Only stop processes if you know what they're for.
If you're not using Windows 7, the steps in all the stuff I linked is similar for Windows XP, Vista and 8.

Wow, jeez. Arizona is really that hot this time of year? I must have a badly skewed sense of temperature. :pignon2:
It's not normally that warm in March. It should be like 70 degrees compared to 86 degrees today.

Also you can stop processes using the task manager, that's how I speed up mine when I'm playing a CPU sucking game.

On the bottom of the screen on the taskbar just do a right click and hit start/task manager and shut down some processes.

Right, but don't close anything if you don't know what it does, and most of those processes will start back up when you reboot if you don't do the msconfig thing.

This is terrible advice/please don't do this unless you are 100% sure what the processes you are closing are actually doing.

You can seriously fuck some shit up by closing processes willy-nilly.

I was referring to SAFE processes like a frozen Sonicgenerations.exe and Dropbox and iTunes helper.

Now that you mention it, I seem to be doing that as well
I've been staying up a bit later too, but I'm not sure if that's at all related or if it's just march break affecting my bad habits.

I've woken up at 7:00 the past few days as opposed to my usual 5:40-6:10. That can't be coincidence...

I haven't stayed up any later, though.

You're giving people way too much credit if you're expecting them to get that from this post:

Like I wouldn't be surprised if your post lead to some 12 year olds trying to shut down all the processes they "didn't need".

Well it's not like 12 year Olds are real people anyway.

My sleep schedule involves going to bed for a few hours, getting up and doing stuff for about 3 hours, then going back to sleep cause I have nothing better to do. I sleep too much.

You don't need explorer.exe, just use the command prompt. taskmgr.exe isn't important either, close that one right away. Noxid was joking about the dwm.exe thing, that's super important. You should run multiple instances of it, just to be safe. And don't forget, viruses can't infect your system if you only do hard reboots.
