Finally killed Ballos

Took me a hundred times, but i did it..

Oh yeah i got the medal when you kill iron head without taking damage too but thats a minor acomplishment.

I didnt even need to use my potion till his 4th form had a centremetre of life too.

 

Congratulations! I didn't get the medal but I didn't use the Life Pot as well. ;D

 

Thanks, his first 3 forms are easy when you find the pattern but his 4th, butes flying everywhere.. its hell.

I found a really good tactic on youtube for his second form, you need the spur all you got to do is wait for him to bounce 3 times there jump in his eye and let him have it with a fully charged spur, takes about 1/5 off.

Theres a really easy way to own his 4th form. His 4th and last.

Well, all you have to do is stand on one of the revolving platforms around him and wait for his eyes to "burst" open. Then you stand on his right or left eye (more like IN his eye) and spam rockets.

btw congratz, though I killed him a 100 times =/

 

Yeah i saw someone do that on youtube but i forgot to do it then, but im gonna try again. Hell is adictive.

About 30 secs, the trick is to do as much damage with the nemesis while hes above head so you do double the damage. If you shoot him at least 5 times above head when hes chasing you, you can easily kill him before he send lightning bolts at you.

After seeing that guys minimum item speedrun i shaved 2.40 off my record.

I had the opposite prob.
200+ posts in my first week, so I was stuck waiting.

On his last form (this only works if you have 20+ hp), I just sit on the -2 spikes he summons and pound him with dual Nemesis or Snake (Snake = Love) and Curly's Nemesis (Aim up, they both point up...). Each hit does ~16 DMG... With around 20 shots per second, that's... 20 x 16 = 320 damage per second... Mind you, I'm a little trigger happy... And my finger twitches so fast at times that I often get an "Imput Overflow" error message from Windows. All this after pounding with any remaining missiles... Of course.

Ballos = Buttah.
Dual Nemesis = Hot Knife.

I started from the beggining today and kept the sword instead but i cant aim it properly.. i should've stuck with the nemesis.. I'm gonna have to start again

Sword is good early on, but Nemesis is invaluble in Hell.

Cause in hell: "damage in > weapon energy available".
Also: "range > damage".

Of course my style is that of a trigger happy sniper...
With suicidal tendancies and a HUGE amount of luck.

Blade lvl 2 = Pwnstick 2.1.4

But don't trust everything you see on youtube...
It could've been a hack or something.

Dude, if you're planning to try minimal items any time soon, you won't regret keeping the sword.

 

on a minimal items run, blade is the strongest weapon you've got. unless you chicken out in hell and get the 100 missiles.

Blade > Missiles.

 

Well missiles do 20 initially, but does the damage continue after the missile hits? 20 seems to be not enough to kill ballos 4 in 6 seconds. And the blade lv2 does 16? or 18 i cant remember.

It's not about how much damage 1 shot deals. It's about how much crap you can get outta your enemies in a given time. Therefore, lv. 2 Blade > Normal Missiles.
