Okay. So. Been away for a while, played chapter two when it came out, so I used that save rather than starting from the very beginning again. And now for my dreaded...
DOT POINT ANALYSIS + SPOILERS
*Ahem*
-The ruins have monsters in them now! And some colour too, that must have been added in this last update. Fairly standard dungeon I guess, although I found the first jump over the fallen bridge surprisingly hard. I must be out of practice >.<
-The optional fight with Pandimonium was nicely done, I thought. He doesn't take damage, and yet he still follows Misery's standard fight pattern... the ending was a nice touch as well
-The dark cavern wasn't too hard either. And more camouflage! The shaded bricks were a nice effect too.
-Upon re-entering Blaze, Zarro (you?) is obscured by the tree when he says his line.
-Heh. Blaze village. I get it >.>; Igor redux was more bark than bite, though. Aaaand then back to the ruins again...
-Sometimes the small flying critters get 'stuck' in the jumping animation and slow down when flying up a curved slope. Not your doing obviously but I thought I'd mention it. Newly-discovered glitches ahoy!
-There's no save point after Blaze if you die fighting Ballog >.< Also I saw something very odd in my second fight; he turned around and started jumping without shooting first. Another for the glitch folder!
-Once more through the ruins... to an eerily similar greeting. I liked it better this time though, there was more blue in it. And I could actually win >.> I don't suppose we'll be getting some character backstory anytime soon~?
-Damn that new Snake looks cool after it levels up.
-That's the first time I've actually heard someone use Toroko's theme in a mod. Kudos to you sir! And some delicious plot, too. Just enough to keep me wondering. Also, I didn't really check, but I'm guessing that the character swap resets weapon levels. You might want to mention that... Also, when did chapter 3 end? o.O Could the chapters be numbered perhaps?
Righty-oh, I think that's the meat of it, aside from a couple of spelling errors and those event glitches from earlier. Also for what it's worth, it's normally spelled pand
emonium >.> But yeah, it was pretty fun, I look forward to more chapters as the plot develps, etc. Although imho you should spread your releases out more, so there'll be more new stuff to keep folks interested and less re-playing.
Huzzah.
