Well I tried a 3hp run without minimal items with the snake and blade but I got stuck at monster X. For curly just use the fireball and try to keep away from the korons and such and you shouldn't have much trouble. Try to time your jumps well so you don't get hit by curly's bullets and if you jump too soon or something, try jumping over curly so there's a lesser chance that you'll be hit by her bullets. She'll shoot upwards but it'll only ever hit if you have a really small jump, which isn't exactly tactical.

Yes it is, I'm using it to get to Monster X, clears out the Gaudis really well. Speaking of Monster X, does anyone have tips for him?

Blade Level 3 > Monster X
Easy...
Not only does it hit all of the green knob thingies on his first form, it also kills his fish-projectiles pretty quick...
And when you're actually doing damage to him, it does around 300 before he hides his vulnerable area again...

I tell that to everyone, yet they still swear by the level 2 blade when it comes to fighting Monster-X.

I actually really don't see the greatness of the Level 2 Blade...
Everyone calls it the best weapon, and then they complain about Dark Pooh being a hard boss.
Which he isn't, if they ever tried using Blade Level 3, for once....
{Infact, I've never been hurt by Dark Pooh, because I always use Blade Level 3, :D}

You know (I use this phrase a lot, don't you think?), I recently used Blade lvl.2 in my minimal items run in that battle and it literally pwns MX. With the highest DPS in the game, it doesn't really matter that it doesn't have area effect. Even though I prefer Blade lvl.3, I understand why others use lvl.2 more.

Well I looked at a guide for Monster X that had a great strategy for the Lvl 3 blade, it seems a lot safer then using Lvl 2 since I've been unlucky with the Lvl 2 blade, so I think I'm going to level it up and go for it.

The Level 3 Blade is the only alternative to the Machine Gun for disposing of the fish. If you're not using either of those, ur doin it wrong.

No u. With Blade lvl.2, in the moment you fire it, it hits objects that are barely touching you, no matter at what angle it comes. Couple that with a short range (therefore short reload time) and high amount of damage dealt, and you have if not the ultimate, then at least very decent weapon for getting rid of the fishies.

Yeah but the lvl 3 does that too, just with slightly longer reload time.

Yeah, but lvl.2 is better to get rid of being overwhelmed by them, just because the fishies can get straight through King's slashing. And also it's not that easy to delevel lvl.2.

It means the time you have to wait before being able to throw it again.

I know.
I was just poking fun at how you'd "Reload" a sword.

Dude, if you don't reload your sword, you're doing it wrong. Plain old swords are not effective in this day and age.

If there were any video game out there that had sword sniping, I would buy it without hesitation.
