If you want to talk on IRC, idle until someone you want to talk to is online. Don't just exit immediately unless you can't leave the program running.
Also if I see you log on and immediately leave it will hurt my feelings

I don't use an irc program, I just have a tab running on firefox. But I tend to close tabs, all the time.

Whenever I am on at night (when most people are supposedly on) there is still like nobody except Noxid, Gir, and Celtic (who doesn't even talk ). What am I doing wrong.

Well, I might talk if you talked to me. Typically it's inactive, so I don't pay much attention to it, but if you want me for some reason I'm usually at the computer and will appear when summoned.

As for why I'm not talking to anyone on skype, I merely don't know many people's skype names.
