I really hope more entries get submitted. Otherwise the story to this project will be:
1. Our hero is searching for a pyramid rumored to be filled with riches. He finally finds the tip of the pyramid, so he begins his quest onward. Near the bottom of the pyramid, he finds his old enemy, the witch Misery. After a long battle, he seems to be magically whisked away.
2. Our hero finds himself in a seemingly endless void. He must of lost alot of life in that pyramid, because he is at 3HP. He also lost his Polar Star and Bubbler. He luckily finds his Map System, with a note saying he might want to look at it now. He does so, seeing a seemingly normal room. He walks carefully onward. After a few steps, he hears something. He tries going back the way he came. The path is blocked. He hastily pulls out his Map System. It seems that much has changed. He fears the worst, and marches onward even more carefully. After a long time of evading spikes in the dark, and finding a strange unit of currency, he finds a door. A real one, unlike the other one that nearly got him killed.
3. He goes through, and finds some life capsules. He is now at 20HP. He goes into the net door and ends up in an outdoors place. He just nearly misses a spike directly under him. He tries to check his Map System, but finds he lost it. He trudges on forward through a strange realm where sleep changes things, you can rip demons out of statues; a place he is not meant to be. At the end(maybe) of this strange realm, he finds another door.
4. Our hero is in the Sand Zone now. He goes through an enormously changed Sand Zone, finding a Machine Gun, an Arms Barrier, a Turbocharge, an ammo expansion for his machine gun, and another strange piece of currency. He goes through a door, finding himself in a nearly destroyed Sand Zone Residence. He flies through the whole place with his Machine Gun, but runs out of ammo, so he falls, falls, until he hits a lake on the Earth's surface. However, he cannot swim, so he sinks to the bottom and drowns.
THE END
(Tell me if I got some facts wrong for Noxid's and JERSE's maps.)

In case I haven't been dropping my hints hard enough, stop making extremely short posts that contribute nothing to this thread but ignorance or I am going to start handing out infractions like they're going out of style. This is directed at everyone and certainly not mostly just at LunarSoul and Dunc. I strongly advise against testing my patience any further, particularly in light of recent events :droll: I don't know whether or not I'm glad I didn't end up going onto IRC today. On the other hand, seeing SeriousFace post makes up for it :D Now, if only Lyger would show up...

If you are reading this Mr Banned Person, I am still willing to accept your submission provided that it's of adequate quality and in before the deadline, because as far as I'm concerned good and honest work is good and honest no matter where it comes from. You can send it to me via my email. Note that this does not mean we are now pen pals.

Seeing as CS+ has been pushed back so far, I'm pretty sure we're going to have some extra time if we need it. I would, however, like a progress update from those who haven't submitted anything yet.

I'm not going to play the two finished demos right now because I would like to spend some time actually working on my own area before I go to bed.

I have very little progress so far. I would be reeeaaally happy if we could have some extra time, 'cause right now I'm composing two fairly large pieces of music, both of which have a deadline around the same time as the current deadline for this, and I also have to learn and memorize this piece by about that same time.

I have almost finished my first room, don't worry about me! :D
I will release some kind of demo when I am completely finished because I believe my area will be considerably short.

2 more things...
Should I include some kind of medal-thingy as a place holder for the money system? I haven't read this thread completely, so I'm not sure if this is still going on.
And I will edit in #2 when I check something :droll:
Nevermind, it is in my next post.

I want to play it, but IPods can't play Cave Story... Something else that must be fixed.

I'm glad you posted though, it seems most of the forum just took a break from posting. I'll update the project's "storyline" once I play it!

If no one can find any more faults in my newest version, I'm going to assume that it is the final version.
