Re: Community Project: Diety Project

I'm almost on vacation, meaning a lot more free time, so I might be able to pick up a bit of ASM myself. Mmmmmaybe. I don't have much coding experience under my belt, but I could give it a shot.

Edit: Heh. I say I'm lurking and keeping tabs on things, and the thread goes DEAD silent for the day.

Okay, so here a song that may or may not be better than the other one.

Yeah.

Re: Community Project: Diety Project

@Lunarsoul: Your org sounds good. Sounds like it would be nice for the map selection area.

@Ollie: Your sounds much better now. I think that would be perfect for the menu.

Okay, earlier I mentioned a type of song consisting of random sounds but could not describe it. I have instead found an example, but alas I can not post links, so here are instructions.
>Youtube
>Search: "Medievil ost the ant caves"

If you don't find it then click on some of the other vids related until you see it on the side bar.

Also, thanks to everyone for recording their orgs and making mp3s for me. I feel special.

EDIT: I am EXTREMELEY sunburnt.

Re: Community Project: Diety Project

I'm with Matt on both accounts. They sound both sound fitting, and he summed up what fits what nicely.

Edit (My I make a lot of these don't I?): I don't remember anyone specifically saying they were saving this and that, so I went through the thread and saved all spriting-related work posted so far to my compy. Just wanted to verify someone's saving this stuff.

Re: Community Project: Diety Project

Thanks for all the praise, guys! I still think the main track could use something, but I'll post the org tonight.

EDIT: What's with the silent treatment? It's very dead today.
Anyway, I'm making another org, this time a guns-a-blazing track. (Woah, seriously? Guns-a-blazing is in my blackberry's vocabulary.)

Re: Community Project: Diety Project

I AM ALIVE KIND OF. (just got home)

Kind of jumping back and forth here, but aside from music, what else do we need? If we decide on a few of the weapons we want to keep, I could start drawing them and their bullet/projectile/whatever particles.

BR_18
Ammo: 16
Clip: 2
Level 1: damage 6.
Level 2: damage 8
Level 3: damage 10

Affect, fires a bullet that travels in a straigt line and does damage to all enemies in it's path. To be used when approached by a hoard of zombies instead of just one or two.

Re: Community Project: Diety Project

And hey guys we should post any specific stuff for the design of the guns (like how i added in the description for the SOAR that it used a tiger camo) unless you're a spriter in wich case you can sprite it you're self so that way the spriters dont end up using designs that may not be what you imagined.

Also matt its Effect not affect.

Good idea... and shut up.

Well I'll just make it myself later if people say it's a good idea. If anyone likes the tri-shot idea then they can sprite it themselves. .comi didn't think of a design for it in the first place.

So how goes the music making process?

Ugh. Walked around a zoo today. So tired.

Not good. That song I was making (the guns-a-blazing song) does not sound how I expected. It sounds a bit more...Egyptian. :)

Here's the End of the Way org.

42 pages in 8 days? Hot damn.

I must say I am anticipating this, and I volunteer my services if they're needed.
I can:
>TSC Code (I can do this well)
>Sprite (decently enough, only if really necessary)
>Compose/Arrange ORGs (this I can do well, but Ollie seems to be the best here)

Awesome, thanks cult. If there's anything we need the most, it's probably going to be someone who knows TSC.

Also, I'll get working on making a few weapons then. Like Marx said, if you have a specific visual idea in mind for a weapon you suggested, go ahead and say what it looks like now. If you don't have anything in mind, go ahead and mention it again anyway and say "be creative with it."

I'll work on the holy water/thrown napalm canister first since it was my suggestion.

Edit: I'll go get the list from page whatever, sans the damage data and such.

Edit 2: WEAPONS:
-Tri-Shot (shoots three shots)
-Holy Water/Napalm Canister (leaves behind stationary flame that damages over time)
-SOAR (semi-automatic)
-Incinerator (incinerates all zombies within 10 block radius, must level up first)
-Flamethrower (throws flames, duh)
-Lucky pistol (variable damage, possibly random effects at higher levels)
-Detonator (pseudo-insta-kill close range weapon)
-Cura (heals user, must level up first)

Now that I think of it, the detonator and incinerator are pretty similar to each other.

If you want I can program one of my weapons (Cura or Detonator) when I get the chance.

Wow, that's actually pretty significant. I haven't thought to look. But yeah, with 99 rounds and TSC based items the script should be pretty hefty.

Ohhai, I weapon'd. Here's the holy water/napalm canister when it's thrown (maybe I should've added the flame first before posting but oh well)

Originally I was going to keep the shading on one side of the napalm canister (i.e. ALWAYS on the bottom left for each can), but it didn't emphasize the spin enough.
