Well that's disapointing. .Wav files would have been cool for sound effects so you could actually have the term "Instakill" shouted at you when you picked it up. I guess we'll have to be fine with a good sound effect and some sort of text on the screen to let you know.

An idea for a useful TSC command. <WAC Wait x tics then activate command y. To be used so you can still do things that require TSC inbetween rounds. I believe there's a 5 second break between them.

Weapon Name - Incinerator
Category - Misc.
Fire Rate - Once after 5 levels worth of XP

After collecting 5 levels worth of XP from zombies the weapon can then be used.
The weapon when triggered will Incinerate all zombies withing a 10 block radius.
Once used all the xp is drained out of it and you have to start from scratch collecting XP again



Item Name - Invisibility Cloak

When found you may stay invisible/invincible for around 45 seconds.
When the item is used the zombies will no longer be able to see you and will not follow you.


Just a side note guys but about the Zombies following you?
You could just use the Critters code and set the detection radius a lot further so they follow you around the map.

Awesome idea with the weapon.
Although for easier programming, we should probably just set it to need loads of exp to get to level 3.
Huh. It sounds a lot like my cura weapon.

I'd just like to say Its amazing to see the amount of commitment going into this project, Especially HyMyNameIsMatt and Lunar Soul and all the Sprite artists!

Last time we did a community project it was called "Ted's Story" and boy did it crash and burn but this is going extremely well!
Just never give up on it!

That's what we did with the Remix Project 2 and look at that! :mrgreen:

But yeah, It makes us Cave Story fans/modders very happy to see a project grow like this! :rolleyes:

The idea is that it will start a counter independent of the TSC event, so you can do other things like pick up a soda or open a barrier while waiting for it to start. Freeing the player and using a <WAI command wouldn't work because then you can't run the other events.

item/power up name: flamethrower/Grenade launcher underbarrell

flamethrower:

if obtained will give you're gun a temporary flamethrower underbarrel wich will fire a wave of flame and replace the weapons normal use.

grenade launcher: just like the flamethrower except that instead you're given a limited number of grenades wich explode upon landing on the floor

'Inspired' *cough cough* by classic Castlevania games. Player lobs a jar of holy water in a small arc in front of them, which bursts into flames upon impact with the ground. Flame persists for a set period of time, doing damage to any enemy that comes in contact with it. The initial damage when the flame first appears is larger than the succeeding damage (i.e. if you get a direct hit on the enemy, it does more damage). Short/medium range. If you guys want it to be a little more modern, we could swap it to a napalm canister or something.

Level 1: Initial flame 5 damage, ongoing flame 1 damage. Must wait for flame to extinguish before throwing another.
Level 2: Initial flame 8 damage, ongoing flame 3 damage. Lingering flame period shorter than level 1. Must wait for flame to extinguish before throwing another.
Level 3: Initial flame 10 damage, ongoing flame 3 damage. Lingering flame period same as level 2. Can throw up to two jars at a time for stackable damage. (Hot damn!)

This weapon is meant to be used in conjunction with other weapons. i.e. Land a zombie in the fire, then hammer it out with a secondary weapon while they burn to do more damage at once. Damage values and times are adjustable, since I don't have a strong idea on what values would make it balanced. :mrgreen:

Here's a better version of the mystery box. The other was too bright and this one looks more accurate. I used colors similar to those used on the tile set.

You can try. We might go through more than one map design before we finish the first map
