5 Years after the original Cave Story.
So Sue should be around 12 - 15.

It will not have a Hi-tech theme, but there will be (hopefully) some Hi-tech levels :p

There is already a Windows XP tester, sorry.
You have to wait for the open Beta :p

There is something I have talked to Gardebiter already about, but I think I'll post it here. Of course it will probably be 90% Changed.

I Think that Jenka should be killed by the Mimiga Organization while protecting Misery and possibly the others. This would make a fun boss battle too.

How about a rail-sequence instead of a vehicle?

If we kill off characters, it shouldn't be obvious that it was done to make the player sad.

I'd say we use pxtone for music. With INLINE C++ it should be possible to use the pxtone dlls.

Weapon suggestions:

Homing missle
Function: Homes on nearest opponent.
Crawling mines
Function: Crawls forwards along solid surfaces, does not home.
Floating mines
Function: Stays where it was shot out at and floats at that spot.
(Maybe this and the Crawling mines can be combined into one called Mines as different levels)
Boomerang
Function: Thrown forwards, goes one loop infront of player and returns.
(Maybe this can be your starting weapon? xD)
Lightning
Function: Calls lightning upon 3 nearby enemies, number of enemies hit per call varies from differing levels
Nuke
Funciton: Deals massive damage to all monsters within screen area, like mebbe 200? Only 1 shot. Rechargable I guess =/ However, only activates when it hits a monster. If left untouched, disappears.

Equipment suggestions:

Bubble shield
Function: Self-explanatory. Lol.
Car... like thing...?
Function: Like the booster, but just that you can only ride on ground, on which you become twice as fast, when riding on it lol.
Flash bomb
Function: Useable item, not weapon. When used, screen flashes and monsters on-screen are stunned. Those outside screen area not affected.
Powerups xD
Function: Gives temporary powarrrr. (lame idea lol.)

It'd make things too simple, IMO. You don't even have to aim.

I like this suggestion. Maybe level 3 could be the mine floats and yet crawls forward? Eh. Wut.

How long is the stun? If not, kind of godmoddish. Shouldn't affect bosses. If not, OMFG BALLOS OF THE MOTHERFUCKING NORTH STAR STUN

I don't accept weapon ideas yet.
Only NPC's (Not too many) WITH image or atleast sketch, plus description how it acts.
If you have ONE or TWO good weapon idea with sketch, then you can post it as well.

Arranged the same way as the Core spritesheet. I don't like the projectiles; if anyone wants to, feel free to make new ones.

This is the .pbm file associated with the spritesheet, I've already added the (c)Pixel to it, for anyone who wants to test it out in-game.

Yep, fun.

Illusion Bat
Flies around, and at random times, creates lots of mirror images. If one is above the player, it dives, and all of the other ones die. Else, a random one lives and the rest die.


Clone Bat
Flies around, and at random times, duplicates itself.


Land Bat
Walks towards the player, and when he is range, jumps at him.

Boss idea: A big circular machine in the middle of a large room. Doesn't move, has huge HP, and spawns smaller machines, which in turn spawn smaller machines, which in turn spawn very small machines which just fly around and damage you. The smaller the machine, the less health, less damage, more speed. Kind of like Scarlet Wizard from Merlin's Revenge 2, if anyone here has ever played that.

Weapon idea: Shockwave. Expands and accelerates forward while doing damage to enemies as it passes over them. Dies when it hits wall or reaches end of range (unlimited number of enemies it can pass through).

Eh.. sketches..

You mean pencil sketches or sprites that are made according to what it is actaully supposed to look like in-game?
