I guess that opens up our possibilities a bit.
Of course, it should have the same(aprox) or close weapon system, etc, or else it wouldn't be a followup of cave story, just another game.
Idea time.
Since it's a new game, I thought that this think from the beta cave story was pretty cool and should be included.
Ergh, can't post attatchments. Heres a picture, but it will dissapear in about 19 days unless i renew my site. *Sigh*
Yep there it is. the little screen in the middle that shows a sprite of quote walking, and you can see how the different weapons, items etc. look on him.
and for a random idea, I think that you should be able to brew potions. They aren't neccesary, but they are useful, and you make them by obtaining items and putting em into a pot or some such. an example would be: life capsule + aqua regis + white flower = life potion.
and for a cool weapon, the, um, monkey blaster.
it has a flawed design, but is actually pretty useful, and has it's name cause you blasted some monkeys with it.
Level One - Fires a single shot straight behind of you. 8 damage
Level Two - Fires a shot both in front and ahead of you. 6 damage each.
Level Three - Fires a shot in every direction. 4 damage each.
Max - Goes back down to level one... ?
also, their should probably be some sort of currency, and weapons should be buyable and tradable.
I like to customize my character, so a gender/class select thing like rune proposed for his new mod would be cool.
Pseudo edit: arm, nother idea about customization, say, having various helpful items, such as the arms barrier, the mimiga mask, and the air tank, but only being able to use one or two at once, so you need to choose which better fits your situation to make it easier, or take an unorthodox set of items to find a few secrets.
and, atrophy? do you know what that is? the less you use a weapon, if you don't use a weapon, it's energy level decreases over time, like any normal skill would. consequences for actions, I like that. and as a counter, maybe your weapon energy could increase when you use it? but slllloooooooooooowwwwwwllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy.
and last idea, i think it would be able to combine or create weapons. Like, you go to a shop, and you can trade around pats of your guns, and stuff to make a better gun, only you lose the weapons that you made it with, and have to pay a price according to how good the weapon is. An example weapon you might create would be a polar star that bounces off of stuff (+fireball) or a snake that has it's levels switched and levels up really fast (+nemmy), or even a charge blade (+spur)
