Classifying Furfags - The 5 Type System

This is the first I've heard of your... condition. So that makes you a type 1 for keeping it secret for so long (unless you told someone else).
And now you have to get on IRC so we can play everyone's favorite game, WTFOF. What does that stand for? Only one way to find out!

I really doubt anyone's an actual furry. Sure it's fun to pretend and talk about it ironically, but really, none of us are that pathetic to be REAL furries.

To be fair, what exactly constitutes a 'furry' is extremely vague and poorly defined. No one knows where the real line is because the borders are so vague.

The easiest way to define furries is anyone who shows an above-average interest in anthroposhgorlekhderp nope, I can't say it. Well, you know what I mean. Bestiality also counts as furry, so you can see why some people don't like the term, but until a better one shows up I will keep using it.

There are furries that have no sexual interest in bestiamorphs (I just made that up, I'm pretty sure it means "people having animal qualities"), and furries that have no interest in actual people, and everything in between. I won't condemn zoophiles, because frankly I can't understand where they're coming from and as long as they don't abuse animals, whatever. I will, however, ridicule anyone who treats their fetish like a lifestyle.

Oh lol, that VN, I totally tried to play that like a year ago.
I couldn't get the english patch to work and that was back when I felt like a freak for anything remotely sexual so I just gave up on it.
And that X360 game looks interesting, too bad my Xbox RRoD'd.

I'm having trouble nailing where I'd fit into this. I've always liked the general concept, and do look at some of the art, but I have no interest in mingling with any of the communities. I do make a fair deal of pervy jokes amongst friends, but it's all in good fun and just for mostly for the laughs. I'm friendly about it (and friendly in general), so I don't really fit into Type 3. I show a little bit of Type 4, namely I do like the cuter stuff and am pretty open, but I'm not THAT overt, pushy, or prideful about it. (i.e. I'm more stable than a Type 4, I know where the lines lie.)

tl;dr I'm more than a Type 2, but less than a Type 4 and not enough of a dick to be a Type 3. Also chop off community involvement to make things more ambiguous.

Based on what I know, I'd probably put you as a 1, seeing as I would have had no idea you were at all into if you hadn't said so.

Really, I don't get why furries receive so much attention compared to other fetishes, I guess that's just how things went down.
