Cave Story X2 A new modding series

Hey, I'm new to modding so I'm gonna start a new series! Cave Story X2 (Seeing as how there can never be an ACTUAL Cave Story 2).
Several adaptions are expected. I accept Ideas and collaborator's spirit edits. Help me become a good modder.

 

Read up on the stickied threads in the Modding forum. They have lots of information and tutorials that can get you started.

Most users will help once you show what you know already, without having to depend on others.

Oh and, I can't wait to see what your take on Cave Story 2 will be. There are several I have seen already, but never played, mostly because one of them apparently isn't really a sequel and the other is still in development.

 

Well...to be REALLY apparent, there can NEVER be a Cave Story 2...That's why I named it X2 the X means that the content in my mod...has something to do with the original...but not much...My idea is to have Sue have a daughter quote meets. And there's bound to be an alternate ending to save her...But im not gonna go in way over my head here...Im not the best modder you see...

oh...Don't forget about that dumb short Cave Story 2 mod somebody came up with...It's a joke...

 

HaydenStudios's Cave Story 2 mod wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but there could've been worse.

 

Well, I've never played the short Cave Story 2 mod yet so I can't be quick to judge.

And even if there's an x in front of the 2, but the story is still about something that would have taken place after Cave Story, it is still basically Cave Story 2, made by a fan.

Since you say Sue is going to have a daughter, I'm going to assume this will be taking place quite a number of years after the events of the original Cave Story. Not that this should have an effect on Quote's appearance...much (assuming you play as Quote; I don't know what your plans are for this mod).

I'm confused about your idea for this mod, though. Who are you "bound" to save in this concept of yours? Were you planning on having an alternate ending?

Story:
"Remember when you left the island"
"You lived in the mountains with Curly..."
"forgetting the that you were going to escape with sue..."
"5 years later...You received a note..."
"And everything changed..."

Storyline:
You receive a note from the doctor saying he's still alive and has sue.
He had a child and wants you to take care of her.
Later you find that the doctor had her with sue.
She then tells you Sue was killed...
...And you must once again stop the doctor...

Well, it's not to bad if I say so myself...I'd still like to see someone add an entry for Sue's daughter.
I'll use Toroko's character for her if nobody has a edit available.

and yes, Cave Story 2 S-U-C-K-S!

Though there is a Japanese mod that had very a cool look and edits!

You only posted the .exe . Cave Story's data is NOT stored in the .exe YOU NEED TO HAVE THE FOLDER WITH ALL THE FILES ITS BASIC MODDING 101!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! H

And you put that cs mod in a zip or rar. (with its folder) Google it!

Btw there's this problem where the beginning where it is dark, and the box appears with the words...but after I add <END it doesn't let you control quote.

I would say name it Cave Story 2X, but then people will think you asked Noxid for it to be double res.

I think it would be better to ask GiR for 2x because what I hear, GiR was the primary developer of CS32, not Nox.
