So I think we can all agree that we need not just CS USB drives, but CS merchandise...

 

Well, Nicalis is out of systems to port to for the time being, it'll have to happen eventually...

Not that I'm complaining. ^_^

Also, a check of the twitter reveals that the last mention of the USB drives was on 29 of July, almost a month ago, so at least we haven't missed anything.

I also saw a Cave Story wallpaper some guy was getting with his USB for some reason...but it's just the NA Cave Story 3D cover, slightly larger and with "Cave Story" on the bottom. I don't really covet it too much, but it's still rather neat!

Apparently they're just as limited as the USBs.

I also saw some guy named Matt (not our Matt, obviously ) who showed off a Cave Story shirt of some kind. I couldn't really make it out, though...

I'm hoping that I'll be able to get that shirt. I'm REALLY hoping for the flash drives. I want both, but that's most likely not going to happen.

 

Sorry for necro-posting, but what the heck happened to these USB Drives? I have found literally nothing about them after about 2013. Were they cancelled? Also, what happened to the figurines he was going to release? So confusing.

And allegedly somebody got one in October of 2012. Maybe they could've been bought on NICALiS' website while they were available? You might want to contact them about it: http://www.nicalis.com/contact.php#, but I don't know if they'll answer or not.
I also had no idea that anybody from NICALiS had ever seen the forums (and since 2008, no less!), it certainly does explain how they found out about the 2x res hack.

On r/cavestory someone recently asked the same question and another said that a few were given out to some people at conferences.

I'm guessing a small test branch of less than 30 or so was made and they decided against putting out a full order.
