I mean look at Dr.Robotnik Eggman, what was at first an insult became the greatest character theme ever made.

if you want anyone to even begin to bother trying to type your actual chosen nick, it better be 6 letters or less

 

"The Enlightened One" is too formally correct and perfectly a well standing name on it's own, that's why I don't need/never got a shorter Nickname.


Some people get short-nick'ed while others don't.

Actually we just don't often refer to one another, and when we do it's whatever the poster feels like shortening it to.

Actually Dr Robotnik changing his name to Dr Eggman was just a retcon that happened to make localization easier. Robotnik has always been called Eggman in Japan, so when they made the adventure games, they decided to officially change his name to it in English. They were clever in how they introduced it though (as somewhat of an insult/derogatory term in the first adventure).

God, this. My username is just seven letters, same as my other name...yet people still sometimes type "Polris" because apparently it's too difficult to poke the a in between those other six letters. -.-

It's not really anything to complain about that much, though. I've gotten this much better than other people since it's a relatively short name. And I have a feeling it's totally intentional to deduct the a or otherwise slightly butcher it, it's not very deragatory.

 

I'm honestly still surprised that there are 2 votes for my mod (And to be honest, Polar Stars mod is much better).
