I'm getting a little tired of this event so I'm taking matters into my own hands. This is a contest for hell mods or challenge mods in general. The deadline is at the end of the month, March 31st. After the entries are provided, a poll will be added to this thread in order for silent voting. The period for playing and voting will last for a week after the first deadline, until April 7th. On April 8th, the results will be posted here and the winner will be immortalized forever.

Entries will not be modified by anyone other than the original modder, and the modders will have the entire modding period to perfect their mod. So I guess if you want to playtest each others' mods and give them feedback during this period then go right ahead.

The winning mod won't be collected for some bizarre other purpose or heralded as a sequel to some unrelated mod. It is simply the winning entry, and stands as its own.

As for judging which is better, just go with what you enjoyed the most. It shouldn't be judged as the hardest or the most unique, but the one that is the most enjoyable to play (do keep in mind that the contest is based around challenge mods though). Unless of course you like mods that are extremely challenging then do what you want.

The submission period is over but there's only been like two entries so i kind of forgot/got lazy/was busy eating pizza pops so the voting period will be extended to April 12th and begins today. You can vote through the newly added poll.

Are there any guide lines on custom assets like enemies or tiles? I might make something no guarantees.

 

I doubt (m)any will enter because the deadline is right before the great joke mod day, and everyone will be working on their joke mods instead...

A less ambiguous explanation:

1. Me and Bombchu have noticed that April 1st ("April Fools") has had, for a couple years here, a silent tradition of Joke mods being released/announced.

2. Bombchu made it sound like everyone was to be busy on that instead of having time to do this contest (which is deadlined the day before). But that's an exaggeration on his part. Maybe only a few people do have plans, but it's not as significant as he stated.

3. I've been explaining this in round-about ways (Because that's how I work), and I interpreted you as trying to be overly sarcastic.

4+. We all get confused, realize that bartering about this is stupid, and we move on.
