Edit: what is "awezebhumko"? Is that the two-piano medley? I think Jet came up with another name for it. It's on my visitor messages I think. And why is my name not after Through The Clouds?

Awesome work Lace, but IMO it looks kinda general, as in you could replace the title and the songs with anything else and it'd look normal. There's nothing that distinguishes it as a Cave Story remix album o_o I'd suggest transparent sprites or pictures related to Cave Story at certain spots or something

And for the sake of proper tagging, replace "rtnario" with "LEAF XCEED Music Division" and the song titles are "HUZZAH!", "Cave Story War" and "Core Oppression". Right now my PC needs repairs so any future remixes will have to wait

 

I looked at your new graphics Lace, but the two silhouettes look kinda indistinct. After looking very closely, I figured out that the one on the left is supposed to be Misery. I'm still not sure who the one on the right is; I think it's Curly but I'm not sure. Maybe if you put a bit of "glow" around the edges of the silhouettes and made the edges really sharp and clear it would help. I also don't really like the big white splotches on the silhouettes. I do like the idea of having the text gradually change color. For the rest of you who don't know what I'm talking about, look at my visitor messages.

Another suggestion: we could put our real names on the list of songs (so my name would appear as JJ "wedge of cheese" Treadway for example). If some people prefer to remain anonymous that's fine.

Also, I have two things to contribute:
an improved version of "Soldier's Prayer"
and
a new remix called "Collapse"

In Soldier's Prayer, I tried less hard to be melodramatic in the speaking parts. Instead I tried to sound more mechanical/less emotional/more "Quote-like". I also transposed the music down a half step which made a surprisingly huge difference in how easily I could hit the high notes.

Collapse is a medley of Break Down, Charge, Running Hell, Tyrant, and Zombie.

I'm trying to work on something for this project... I'm just not sure what to remix...

 

The silhouettes are good, though I'm not sure if I like that much blur on the text. A little bit of blur could be cool, but it seems a bit overdone imo.

And I was thinking put forum names and real names, with the forum names in quotes between first and last real names. But if I'm the only who wants this, then don't even bother. It would look weird for everyone else to have their forum name and me to have my real name.

The Moonsong Remix Lace

Hey guys! I haven't been around in a while but as you know I was sick and there was Christmas stuff happening here and my grandfather passed away on Dec 21st. Needless to say, it's been a little crazy lately and I've been very busy, but unfortunately not busy working on my track.

BUT, I do have something for ya's (having to do with CD covers)!

@ Lace, how's this for a front cover (not my work)?

Here's the problem with CD covers:
If anyone actually printed this on a real physical CD cover, it would look pixelated because it is only at 96 dpi (most PC's resolutions are set to 96 dpi). A good cover has at least 300 dpi, but professional covers are set at a whoppin 600 dpi (I believe this is the standard, unless it has changed).
1500x1500 pixels will be about right for a cover of 300 dpi and it will give a good amount of bleed as well, being 5 x 5 inches (CD inserts are about 4.724 x 4.724 inches).

This is all only important unless people are planning to print a cover. If not, just keep it at 500x500, or maybe even 600x600.
If you're doing the "non-print" way, I would like to see the pic I posted as the front cover, but if no one else wants it or has a better one, that's fine. I just thought it was epic win.
