As far as having physical copies, I'd have to say I think it's a little unpractical. It's just so much easier to host the songs and album art for people to make their own CDs if they want to. I don't see a lot of people actually caring too much if they have a hard copy or not.

Reasoning:
A ton of people out there (like me) will often put the music on an iPod or Zune or something along with the cover of whatever album it is. Because of this, most people I know wouldn't really care if they had an actual physical CD or not, since the music is going on a digital music device.

Either way, I think we should only group the songs to make 2 CD's. I think 3 is a little pointless because the songs should easily fit on just 2, unless we get a ton of songs in late. But, just in case people do want to use the album art to make hard copies, we need to make sure the songs are grouped together in a way where each group would fit on a CD.

I'm liking Schokobecher's hosting offer. Let's see what JetHawk95 says about it.

Hey GIRakaCHEEZER: I saw you're doing a White remix. I guess I'll still try my hand at it as well. It couldn't hurt to have a couple versions of that song.:D I look forward to hearing what you come up with.

EDIT:
Just saw that Wedge of Cheese already made a website... so yea... let's see what JetHawk95 says about it. lol.

EDIT:

Because I'm awesome like that.

So quick recap:
No hard-copys (by the looks of it),
Website is "up",
Deadline is set.

So, what needs to be done?

€:
Also did you check the 50megs ToS for "massive" downloads and stuff?
I don't trust these hosting companies very much :D

Just got my PM. Sounds good to me. I suck with html and I know nothing of javascript. I can do design (somewhat), but Lace would probably be a better choice for that, since he's a better graphical artist than me.

What I can do: I can organize, advise, and edit/correct text.

To Do:
Tually upping the site, album art, last remixes.
Anything else?

I'll see if I can find my copy of dreamweaver, or we can do html, but that seems silly/awesome.

FrozenFire I trust in your artistic talents, do whatcha want.

The site shouldn't require anything super fancy, so straight HTML would probably be fine.

As far as what we need on the website:
Remixes (duh)
Brief bios of the remix artists (and perhaps others involved like Lace and Schoko) and/or contact info
Blurb about the project in general
Blurb about Cave Story
Links (cavestory.org, cavestory.com, cavestory.org/forums, the first remix project, Pixel's website)
Anything else noteworthy that anyone can think of

Okay. Sweet.
I'll hash out a quick main page, and then we can go from there.

Well there's not that much to do at the moment, because we'll need a design plan, which I'm hoping FrozenFire and/or JetHawk will have ideas for, and we'll need to see what graphics we're using to be able to know how they'd fit on the page. Lace seems to be the graphics dude at the moment, but I guess if you really want something to do, you could make some graphics.

You don't really want that.
Guess I'll keep lurking till something needs to be done.

Sorry for my noobishness, but what does this mean?
Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" lang="en" xml:lang="en">
        <head>

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" />

Uh, you're using xhtml 1.0 (which means all tags must end with a slash, like <br />), and the file is encoded in UTF-8 (I don't think you actually need to save it as UTF-8, since that may cause problems with displays. Your browser will still recognize it even if the html file is plain ascii). You should try HTML 4.01 Transitional if you want to use older tags (such as <br> with no slash).

In basic terms, that's just the header stuff that you should see in every file, so don't worry about it; it's just there. Text and html stuff goes below it, in the <body>.

It's the document type, which is XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
It's a restrictive form of the HTML language which can be parsed by any xml parser.
It also ensures that the document always looks the same, no matter what browser you use. (If you keep up with the XHTML 1.0 Transitional Standards.)

http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/xhtml_why.asp

But since there is a site in the works it's kinda useless at the moment.

I was bored D:

Also notice:
If I would have used the xhtml 1.1 strict doctype, the few lines you wrote would be all "wrong" lol.

€:
You should try HTML 4.01 Transitional
I kind of against this.
It will mess with a whole bunch of browsers (YES IE. I MEAN YOU!) in a very unpleasant way.

When the real site goes up I'll try to make it as browser friendly as I can. (if necessary)

Things I have forgotten in the last five years:
(1) How much I love potato chips
(2) Where I keep my shoes
(3) HTML

No fear though, cause I found my shoes and am eating chips.
http://csrp2.org/ is the site so far, but it doesn't really have anything on it.

Which is why we need blurbs!
Post any blurbs you've got - anything related to the project should be fine, make them one to two paragraphs, and we should be able to fit them in.

Furthermore, I think Schoko, Cheese and the others should be coding this thing. I can help/provide layout advice, but what I really need to work on is the arts, so I dunt wanna be gonzo from that.

Well we are way too many people to code effectively.
There should be a sketchup with what needs to be done, and what shouldn't be done (In terms of coding/design, not content)

Agreed.
http://www.csrp2.org/new/main.html is the newest version design-wise. The codings pretty ugly, and I can't really work on it today, so can you guys go from here?

I already saw that and tried some things... but it didn't work out as I planned it to :D
Also the FTP access is bugging out on me.
Always telling me it can only accept 1 command at once from a single user

Well as you said, it's reaaaaally basic and generic.
That's where a sketchup would help

Because I have no real clue what you guys really want... and since we all got a diffrent taste/style...
