Such shame. He acts just like that PWN|Yoshi idiot, he also denies that he is a 10 year old boy, and posts useless and asinine threads on other forums. Thankfully, he was posting shitty threads in a shitty forum, until everyone was doing stupid british-like slang jokes on him, then he left. Stupid people on gay forums. Now here, we have a stupid person on a decent forum.

Learn about forums more, Ryu. We don't care about your little addition to a map that pixel made. Especially when it's on someone elses thread about his mod.

Lol, to be clear, I have the similar traditions as this guy. However, I refuse to boast about porn simultaneously, and call everything a piece of shit in the forums. I'm just paranoid about getting banned, and making myself look more of an asshole. I can't find Jacob abnormal in these forums, during my life I have met people like that. Not exactly like Jacob, just a similarity.

 

I play and get the polar star and snake and the game gives me an error message in random letters (mostly "f"s with various signs over them) every time i try and exit the cave to what i presume would be the mimiga village.
Sombody help. ive tried exiting the cave several times and it wont let me

Hrm... best I can advise is to either re-start or re-download. Don't fret too much about losing progress, there's a loooot after that first part Just in case, the "correct" exit is the one to the right of the area (probably not an issue, but it was once before, believe it or not).

 

Okay, not sure why, but for some reason or another, when I enter the door at the top right section of the 'first cave' after getting the polar star, the game crashes on me. Am I doing something wrong?

 

Probably. There should be a file called error.txt. paste what it contains to us. A picture of the error will help too

And I doubt a picture would help much, when this error occurs, it'll open a popup message some random accented letters and various punctuation marks, and after closing said window, the game closes too. If I had a language pack or a font that even supported Japanese though, it might would help.... But I'm not even sure about that, since it might not affect the popup.

Anyways though, hope this helps. And I hope you can help me fix this mess, cause it was looking like a pretty good mod!

Only thing I can suggest is that you redownload it. Sounds like you're getting the "(C)Pixel" issue, to be honest. Redownload it to it's own folder. You can reuse your old save too (by copying the profile.dat from the folder that your current version of jenka's nightmare is in).

 

Unless I'm crazy that's giving two errors: It's missing 2 tilesets. O.o
But yeah, Gir has the right of it.
Failing that, PM me and I'll teach you how to fix this error twice and for once.

Well, I just re-downloaded and installed again this morning... And it died again at the exact same point...

Error file says:

Which, I think is almost exactly what it said last time... So I don't think the download is the problem. Popup is still a bunch of gibberish too. Dunno if it helps, but I caught a screen shot of it in case you guys are somehow fluent in gibberish.

(Don't tell facebook I'm using their server this way.)

No, I did no editing on this thing. Tried editing another copy of cave story once, but that only made me wonder why I couldn't save, and what on earth the debug cat was.

Anyway, I recommend opening it up in CE and using it's "remove (C) Pixel Requirement" feature in the game settings menu, acessible from one of the buttons on the right hand side of the main screen.

 

I asked post the error message to check if it was a tsc error. It's not, so try what noxid said

you're just missing two pbms, copy over PrtMimi and PrtWhite from your regular CS.
