A poll like this fails on so many levels because in order for you to fit the options in you have to preselect a series of names from a large list, which completely influences the results by the means of your own bias. Not only that but you have failed to offer an "other" option for those whose choice isn't within your own pre-selection, and you have it set up so that someone can select more than one option.

Why are the proponents of that name so fixated on that? Sounding cute isn't an advantage in this case, it doesn't even match with Cave Story, really. And pronouncing it that way trivializes the fact that Doukutsu is in it, and sounds like "the cutsies" which, you must admit, is yucky and indescriptive. I just don't think Doukutsies (or any other name) is really a necessary thing, to be honest...Parkraft123 said:

I was pretty close to casting a vote for cave men because that's just funny. Fitting for a fandom name though? No.
Some fandom labels do work out better than others. They've got to be concise and easily relevant to the fandom to work. Otherwise, it just sounds all cheesy and gooey. I dunno, I'm not really into fandom names myself, but if a name sticks, you just have to roll with it sometimes.
