Sorry, I'm still getting used to using a tablet and I have yet to use any of the other programs except sketching. So, yeah, it's unfinished and very quick.

Just curious, though, when you are drawing on a tablet, is there anyway to get straight lines? That would help improve a lot of things.

Then again, I did the sword in on long stroke, so I could've been more patient.

 

Use a program that will let you make straight lines. Other than that, no, there is probably not a "straight lines" option on the tablet. And srsly, what kind of drawing program doesn't support point A to point B?

yeah its called being patient and careful, you just have to pay attention to try and get it straight, but nothings perfect anyway, it takes awhile to get used to tablets, so your drawings are gonna be pretty wonky for awhile compared to drawing on paper, so just play around sketching,drawing and just getting used to the features

a good program to use for free is gimp, it uses tablet pressure and such and is a very small program, but if your able to i suggest you get photoshop as its far more superior in my opinion.

Anybody know how to install Gimp's help files? When I get them, I have no idea how to install them.

get the windows version of gimp? thats probably why you cant install it

also with the picture, quotes external antennae should be attached to his head, not his hat, and the shadows wouldnt always throw a shadow under his cap, it depends on where the light source was in the picture

Not really, but zooming in helps a little.

 

Found something out about my picture.

Turns out I was drawing with the draw size to seventeen times larger than normal. At least now I know why that came out so shitty.

I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm pretty sure it's not the reason that came out so shitty.

It means that when he drew a line, he had to go 17 times as far as usual, which made it easy to go all wiggly.

A) I haven't drawn for several years
B) I'm still getting used to drawing with a tablet.

I've drawn better stuff than that, it's just that I can't fit a desk in my dorm room, so I have no choice but to use a tablet if I wanted to draw.

I WILL post some better drawings, though.

All I mean is that if you're a decent artist, you could stand to make a better impression than the drawing you posted. If even you think it's bad, you should refrain from posting a drawing and practice until you can make something better.
