yeah i hate fireworks as well <_< :p
edit: its confusing..... but then again photoshop was confusing at first but now its awesome

GIMP is free, and has way more features in the 'Elements' section than Photoshop. And a whole bunch of other things I can't be stuffed naming. Sue me. =D

I use both GIMP and Photoshop. GIMP has many epic functions that Photoshop doesn't. I have a basic knowledge of photoshop now (HOW THE FUCK DO I NOT ANTI ALIAS SOMETHING ANYWAY) and I'm planning on learning GIMP.

With fireworks you can choose if something is anti-aliased or not since it is made for web and photoshop is made for print. I used to use photoshop, then I learnt how easy and more useful fireworks is. I still use photoshop for print design but fireworks is the go for everything else, though I sometimes do vector work in flash. Macromedia FTW. :p

i love macromedia flash 8, i used to use it for animations like 2 years ago, now i cant do much in it because i forgot how to do most of the things >_>

...

..as well as Dreamweaver, MS Paint, Fireworks, Freehand, Photoshop, etc. :p
