You can use the booster to get to the room, you just have to have it unequipped during the fight.

Haven't tried it, but have you deleeted the Deleets?

have you tried it? hard to get past all the butes flying at you

 

I started playing Cave Story again today, and tried that beating the sisters with only the whimsical star challenge....that one isn't going to get finished I swear. It took me like 3 minutes just to get maybe 1/5th of their HP down.

Also tried beating Ma Pignon with just the lv 1 polar star and with 3 hp, that one's pretty fun and hard. I just keep getting owned by all the randomness in that battle (everything that falls is randomly placed and pignon's jumping is also random as is all the clones =x)

I can hack profile.dat, that's what all those attached files are.

 

I'm no good at hacking either, I just use a couple programs that were made by others to edit profiles or to add convenient save points

When you click on a hex value in xvi32 there is a number next to "Adr Hex:" at the bottom of the window, that is the address of that hex value. The guide tells you the rest.

You can also use SaveEdit that can do all of the above.

 

Yeah I just use Caveshark to change the profile.dat to whatever items and stuff I want, and I use Sue's Workshop to just create save points and then remove them after I saved there. And I already got a folder full of savefiles for different places =x

Same here.

BTW, I have a whole bunch of CS saves with all kindsa weapon choices. Maybe I should contact SP to upload on the FTP sometime.
