Boss challenge video request topic.

I tried that before, there was still lag; Not as much, but enough to notice... (And be able to dodge all of Monster X's attacks [Guadi's included] O_o)

Mess around with the settings under the "AVI File" and "Sound" tabs, though you might get less lag for the recording of uncompressed AVI (you can compress it later) since then it wouldn't have to compress on-the-fly, and you could always remove sound or lower the framerate or any one of the other settings that you can change to reduce lag/whatever.

 

Balrog, first time you fight him, with spur. -wants to see a 1-hit kill on a boss- xD Use CaveShark to get the spur.

 

i dont thing one full spur would do it? he has 80 hp doesnt he?
and the spur does about 76 fully charged

I mean the optional fight in mimiga village, and the Spur does more when it hits them over their head for some reason. I had hit a 108 on Enraged Doctor

Ya know, I wonder. I think I'm gonna get around to modding cavestory into a time-attack; Removing all savepoints in the game, and setting up the counter to start when you start the game... fufufu. Try beating THAT with 3HP, Minimal items >;3

What about one with save spots and the ability to save the timer position into profile.dat for the people who want to time attack normal cave story.

 

The thing is, if you save the game while the timer runs, it continues where it left off when you die; it doesn't reset to when you saved. On top of this, if you were to load the game after shutting it off, the timer would start-over as 0'00"0.

Here's my challenge:

Kill Ballos, in full time attack.

I know that the game isn't meant to save the timer information but is it possible to get the .exe to save and load timer information. The timer doesn't continue in hell when you are teleported, whatever causes it to reset could possibly be used in this scenario, then have it load the information as the save file loads then set and start the timer as that information.

Probably hard to do, I'll stop talking now..
