But there's no way it could get crappier than in Jacob's video.

 

Record cave story while it is in 320x240 windowed mode, not fullscreen mode. Record as an uncompressed video then compress it afterwards (compressing on the fly just slows things down). Mess with the sound recording settings to get the best (fastest) results. Make that any settings really, they are there for a reason. It isn't hard. If you are getting crappy results out of good video capture tools then most likely it is your fault, not the fault of the program. Hypercam is that same program that Chaddykins uses, and there is no skipping at all, hell I've recorded with it and had no problems.

I was away for a week, but now I'm back. I can't believe Jacob's done a Let's Play for this. Why the hell did you do an LP for such a horrible mod?

I will upload this with the new sprites soon. Also, Andwhy, can you upload the original? I killed my copy, and I want to be able to play with my crap sprites as well.

 

Oh yeah, btw, your mod is fucked up, after you get back from the EC and leave Arthur's house, it teleports you somewhere wierd and you drown.
Might wanna fix that.

I never noticed that. Maybe it was just a glitch in the game that doesn't usually happen, or maybe I deleted something I shouldn't have deleted. Just change your profile.dat. I'm not gonna fix it.

EDIT: I don't remember that happening when I played that part. Maybe it just happened that time. Try doing that part again.

I still haven't done anything about that drowning glitch, so for now you can just edit your profile.dat to be a little bit farther. I'll try to fix it soon. If you don't know how to edit your profile.dat, then this program is pretty good- http://jte.kidradd.org/AGL/files/SaveEdit.zip. It's made by the echidna guy.

 

I just noticed a couple of sprites Andwhy didn't change, the drowning sprites in Caret.pbm and the sprites that are normally Ballos in casts.pbm. Could you fix those?

I still haven't fixed the drowning glitch. I'll probably do it today.
