Anyone remember this?

I think it may take a little while before I can get back into my hack. Gotta refamiliarize myself a bit. So, while I'm tying up loose ends, I figure I should work on this thing.

Expect more news soon.

It looks ominously anti-Macintosh...

Do you think newbies might able to edit cave story and then make a decent mod out of your editor?

That.

This looks incredibly useful, and if you finish it the entire community shall sing your praises forevermore.

Umm, by any chance do you think you could maybe make a release, even if it's not totally finished? I just really want to start editing now!

Yes, but you're limited by what you can actually do by yourself. It's possible to edit the code for specific things (such as how a specific weapon behaves) but if you don't know assembly, that's something you won't be able to make much use of.

On the other hand, there are quite a few easy-to-click buttons and checkboxes, so even without any experience you can do some things with it.

Thanks, but I've already decompiled and annotated quite a lot of the game's code.

(That, too, is a little project I've got going. :p )

Yes but, most of the things in the FAQ are already tested, maybe you can use my FAQ's to validate your information with mine. :p

So... When there will be a demo?

You know by now that I don't take answers on a silver platter nor even care for them much. I'm not looking for any assistance, it's simply not the way I work. Thanks nevertheless, though, I appreciate it.

As for a demo, well, it depends. I can only work on this on weekends, but if I just work on the weapon editor part for now, I could have something out in a few weeks. So who knows... could be soon, could be... well, soon.

(Free booze helps. <_< >_> )

Not necessarily. Actually, I probably wouldn't be able to "sing his praises". Not if it's anti-Macintosh.

Now, if it can be compiled and run successfully on a Mac... then I would be able to "sing his praises".

But that's probably not very likely, is it? :(

I regret I can't accomodate your Mac-related needs; I use the win32 API and DirectX in my projects.

Get a PC (as a secondary computer.) You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. :(

No, that just partitions your hard drive so you can install Windows normally. (And it only works on an Intel Mac – which I do have – plus it requires that you buy a copy of Windows.)
