I'll be entering this competition with a mod only known as A.4
Hopefully I can stand up to the likes of the other mods that will inevitably be in this competition.

 

To be honest, it would be nice if at least one of these competition events actually followed through for once.

I mean, I'm willing to take this seriously if anyone else will.

Y'know, I had an idea earlier. It'd take a little bit of generosity on the competition's host's part, but perhaps there could be a prize instituted that could be actually usable when you win, such as a Steam key. Not saying that beef jerky isn't usable or anything, but something a tad bit more realistic could help things along.

 

It would be easier to make the rules state that any mod released (complete or not) before the start of the competition cannot qualify, because technically if they've released it before the compo then it has been done before, and it is ineligible anyway.

its just Cave Story with fuzzy wuzzy graphics. The only thing that isn't that way is the dialogue in the dialogue box.

It really isn't. He's using jpeg artifacts as a comparison, but heavy analogue-TV-style static distortion on all graphics would be more accurate. Which is fair because a JPEG Story has been done before, but this hasn't.

You know, I wouldn't mind giving this a shot. I've had an idea for a unique CS mod now, but never got around to attempting it.
Is there a specific length on our mod? Given 2 weeks, I don't think people can get a whole-length mod like Hayden's 4th ending, WTF Story or Cave Story: Redesign done.

Nah, do as much as you can before January. And if you like your idea so much, you can fully flesh it out into a even better mod.
