I have no idea how this happened, it was really spur-of-the-moment and quick. But it did. And the end result is rather gorgeous, I think. :3

ElecMaw > well it worked for me when I first saw your post yesterday, so it may have been a problem on their side.
It can also happen if you're using temporary hosting sites such as puu.sh, snag.gy, and the like.

Noxid > it looks ok but I can't deal with the green/pink contrast
also the differences in the levels of detail make the blocks appear far closer than the ground which looks like part of the background, imo
I really love the actual background though

I intentionally hue-shifted the colors to make them abrasive to stand out against how cave story mods usually use or follow CS' graphics which are not super saturated and clashing and hard to look at.
in my mind the purple blocks were supposed to be "maybe in the foreground??" and to have something more than just a straight grasstown tileset. But yeah not super well thought-out.

the background tho was probably the easiest part of the whole thing :V
scribble some dark purple zigzags on a light purple background
gaussian blur
crystallize filter
create a gradient from grey-red to black on a new layer
apply PDN's dents filter
set layer to multiply and fuck with the opacity until it looks alright
and done
