Am I screwed?

I have been currently attempting the hard path. I got to the waterway, and got the water out of curly. What I forgot to do was pick her up. Is there a way to fix that, is she elsewhere, or will I have to start over?

in answer to your thread title yes... your screwed. you will have to play it again.

 

Oh well, thats life. Guess I better get cracking on that file again.

Nope, just edit Cave Story: Get a new entity placed on some map and set the flags which are needed to get Curly working

 

You could download some of the save files (profile.dat) from here:

Atleast one of them should contain a file from just after the core battle.

How do you just forget? Cave Story will never forgive you for forgetting about Curly Brace.

 

Actually, my brother says he drained the water then left Curly there by accident (can't remember if she showed up at the Plantation or not), and still got the best ending. Just my 2 cents, dunno if it really works =P

 

Eh...

You can't leave Curly behind at the Waterway house and still get the best ending, unless you screwed with flags or saves.

You can't get into Sacred Grounds without Curly, which is where you get the best ending....

So unless your brother modified the game, he never got the best ending...
He might've gotten the "good" ending and confused the two, though.
