    hmm i have tried to imitate the original script(including horizver trigger and others) but this boss did not want to move. if you do not mind, hmm... can you tell me more??

    Essentially the code does this:
    Forcefully call NPC216(Note that I modify the code which decides which NPC to call, instead of modifying the pointer table)
    Call my DLL (game.dll,originally called gamemanj.dll but changed due to space concerns)
    DLL doesn't have a new behavior for this NPC, so looks in the NPC pointer table and calls Cave Story's handler.

    I intend to do a similar thing with bullets, but I'll release the template mod first-people who really want to mod bullets can still use the Doukutsu Assembler(plus the fallback means everyone's old Doukutsu Assembler mods should work as usual unless they mess around with NPC216)

    Geobox looks pretty amazing, though I think someone should make all-new example assets to avoid problems with Nicalis/Pixel/anything at all.
    Then again, I'm a pretty paranoid person. I think the past few days have exhibited a pretty obvious view of how paranoid I can be(and how panicked I get when I realize I did something stupid).
    Either way, it looks to be a good engine <img src='http://www.cavestory.org/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/smile2.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    i think i did ns2 but it was covering the "modify the original parts of cave story slightly" thing that was happening when i made that. still is kinda happening now i think. i should obviously make a /true/ successor to noxid story sometime

    I appreciate the lack of cutscenes, they can be a bit long. Let's see where this goes.

    Hm...the music doesn't return once you pick up the Polar Star. Odd.

    Instinctual grinding to Lv 3 is a go! Let's see what Mimiga Village is like with no story.

    Nope, never mind. Totally a story. Is it just me, or do you fall and move a little faster than usual? I have no frame of reference after that last mod, so I'll compare with unaltered Cave Story.

    ...it does seem a mite faster. Who knows, though.

    Oh...dear! Okay. Here's the twist, then. I'm surprised the teleporters never failed in the original, now that I think about it...

    The living things seem fine, at least! And the grind is even more important now that I can't recieve more health...but I love my Polar Star and prefer it stay maxed anyway. ~^-^~

    Looks like there's even less to read this time. Mimiga Village looks downright depressing now...kind of reminds me of Kero Blaster. Also, there's text sounds when I enter rooms for some reason, and it looks like I can shoot through glitched tiles!

    No, on second playthrough, the environment definitely changes - you can't go up until you realize you're blocked off. That's a very subtle effect and I like it. :3

    I am standing on Chinfish. He is my friend. Also, the Reservoir's entrance is a little terrifying.

    For some reason, the map still has a fanfare even though the shoting, lifes and fish necklace don't. Maybe that's an error?...

    Oh dear. There I go. I actually decided to use my own MyChar for this mod earlier on, to spice up what I assumed would be a decent amount of regular CS a bit - and I must admit it's a bit disturbing watching my little Gardevoir drown in nothingness.

    I suppose this is a comment on the sheer number of mods there are. Hm. If I were using the default MyChar, this would be negative Quote. As it is, I guess it's Shiny's turn. Also sudden flight!

    I still have the Map System. It doesn't reveal much.

    This is very tricky to control. Still, I managed to get past all of the corruption without hitting any of it, and...that's a wrap.

    It seems people either really like the concept, or don't care for it at all. It looks like you found every one of the known bugs too, so congrats! Some are intentional, but the music stuff wasn't for sure.

    Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. I'd hope that I could find time to finish it someday, but I can't make an promises.
