There were several unused items {As in, music, sprites, attacks, etc.}, and one of the more popular theories is that Gigyas was suppose to have somehow merged with Lucas' brother {One of the unused songs sounds like it says "Lucas...help me..."}.
But, apparently, it was deemed to dark for the new, younger, audience....
And it still weirds me out....
