AH! I know.
Putting a scale before a <MSG that prevents the modder from typing more than 35 (if <FAC0000) or 26 (if <FAC value =/= 0000) characters per line, THAT would be cool.
Also, I would really appreciate if you managed to fix the line-skipping glitch (and its opposite). I really don't know if it's possible but that would be nice if it was.

Well I didn't actually do anything... I just complained that I was lost in my flags and you came up with this wonderful idea. But if you want, I can tell you some things that (at least I believe) would be useful for CE.
