  • Ehm, not quite. I can see where you're getting confused; because when you count half steps, you count the steps between the notes, not the notes themselves, but when you count interval size, it's the other way around. Try adding 1 to all your numbers, and then you'll be closer, but still not quite right.

Also, Perfect Unison is the same as P1.
    Sure.

For now, just see if you can do part 1 (which you seem to have completely ignored), and the first 10 questions of part 2 (we'll worry about the other 20 later).
    *facepalm*
Well, that would almost work except that there are those two pairs of white keys (B/C and E/F) with no black key between them.

    reread this:
    Wedge of Cheese said:
If you look at C# and Eb on a keyboard, you'll see that they are 2 half steps apart, which might lead you to say that the interval is a M2. However, you would be incorrect if you said that. The way you would go about figuring out the correct answer would be to first ignore any sharps or flats in the notes (i.e. just think "C" and "E"). Take these two notes, and count the white keys from one to the other (including the notes themselves). There are 3 white keys in this range (C, D, and E). This tells you that the interval must be some kind of a third.
Okay, so we know what's wrong with your half step counting, but now explain how you found the interval names, cause that was also totally wrong.
Wait, that wasn't the only mistake you made, E3 to C4 is EIGHT half steps, not 9.

The other mistake you made is that you counted B# and C as two different notes. Remember there is no black key between B and C so B# is enharmonic to C. When counting half steps, don't count enharmonic notes.
Also, weird forum glitch, if you post while I'm posting, my post doesn't show up until I refresh the page O_o.

Fucking timer, what a goddamn racist timer. It's the opposite of tits, it's two big indentations in the chest.
Oh I see what you did. When you're counting half-steps, you count the number of steps it takes to get from one to the other.

    E to F is 1 step.
    F to F# is another.
adding them up you get a total of NINE steps, not 10.
Yeah... okay, first of all, the only number of steps you got right was the first one, and none of your answers are right nor do any of them actually match the number of steps you put... :(
We're on the IRC trying to explain the difference between "showcase" and "ideas."

When I tell him "concept for mod," he looked at "mod" and said "Hey, you said mod. You must have a mod. Those don't go in that section."
The idea behind the books is that you go into it and it's like going through some short mods swallowed up by one big mod. inb4 eukaryote
For the LOVE OF GOD, LACE. PLEASE HELP OH GOD MY HANDS HURT SO MUCH FROM ALL OF THE TYPING AAAAAAAGH
You guys should stop your rage and conceit. I really don't get it why you people rage so much, over the rule that someone has to post actually some work. (Like a fucking single image) Why do you guys cry so much over it?

Ideas can still be posted in that Random Idea Topic. I don't see any rational reason, why I should do as you guys tell me. All you do is giving me shit by calling me "close" or "narrow minded", because I do not as you guys wish.

This is not a dictatorship no, but these forums aren't owned by the users, SkyeWelse and Shirofan are the owners and SkyeWelse has made me an administator, because he trusts me with the administration of the forums. So if it is my choice to not let you have this unneeded section, then you shouldn't start talking like you own the forums and boss me around.

I am an administrator, but not a slave of the users in this forum.

Plus I still have no idea why making an image (it doesn't even need to look professional) is that hard?
Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean that they are wrong.
They aren't outdated, in fact I updated them recently.
