  • (In community project dev thread) I was actually asking a question that might help my mod, I don't see why it needed to be deleted.
Also, I don't think you need to delete everyone's posts if you don't approve of them, otherwise only the poster understands their mistake, and sometimes not even the poster does. I think it's much more helpful to just tell them off so everyone knows their mistake, and people can still read what was in the posts.
Don't know if this has already been suggested, but an easy way to manage skipflags would be for each person to simply clear any skipflags they wish to use at the start of their segment, so there would be no need for "rationing" of skipflags. Now that I think about it, the same could work with regular flags, but you've already established a good system for rationing them, so it would be unwise to change it at this point.

edit: also, is there any specific way you want transitions between different modders' areas to look? It would look the most professional if the end of one area matched the beginning of the following area (i.e. end one area by walking off the right edge of the map, enter the next on the left edge of the map, or leave one area through a door, enter the next through a door). Is there going to be one standard way of doing this, or is andwhy just going to adjust the transitions appropriately so the area creators don't have to worry about it? Also, should we do something special if the player attempts to go "backwards" to the previous area, or just design the map so that's impossible?

edit: I'm guessing there should be a save/refill at the start of each area? Or just a save?
Sorry for all the messages, but I would be willing to help compile Take 8 and/or make a level select function for it if you need my help.
    Let's be friends! YAAAAY! Pedobeaaaaaaar!

EDIT NOTE At the time this is written it is 12:13 and I'm tired and screwed up and probably drunk. Gnite.
Ah, phew! That was nothing near what I was planning!
Thanks for the talk, DT. Good luck with your part.
Thanks. I just don't want to look like the runt of the litter. When dealing with crap like Nicalis, I'd love to let my name known to the world (or at least my work).
One more question, if you don't mind me asking: you said you were using forced movement or something for your section. Could you tell me what you meant? It sounds similar to something I planned on doing, just wanted to make sure we didn't do the same thing.
Okay, then. I guess I'll make the three maps and then add to them if I feel it's too short.
Oh wait, wait. Are we making Sand Zone sized maps, or, say, Hell sized maps? I'd say I seem to be making the latter.
Quick question about the community mod. For three maps, how long should a "section" be (to play through)?
    Also, finished first map.

*herp derp* BkFog is the Balcony background anyway, isn't it? BkGray is the gray one.
    I'll take BkFog then. >_<
Ugh, I was thinking of using BkMoon and Bk-whatever Balcony's is for a progression from dusk to dawn.
Fog's the gray one? What about Balcony's? I could make do with that.
hmmm. well now I came to talk to you.

I don't know how much this matters, but there's a weird typo in the "New Forum Rules" thread.

Random bumps or 'continuations' of two-year-old conversations are frowned up.
I normally don't care, but this one could be potentially confusing to non-native Enlish speakers, which we seem to have a lot of.
