Ooh, I really like the Mega Man orgs, very creative to use Wave 20 instead of the built in Tom01 drum for the toms in the beginning for Wood Man. Nice >:]

And yeah, the theme for the first two stages in Wily Fortress in MM1 is a good track. I still hate those Foot Holders in the first stage, let alone the Big Eyes at the beginning of said stage...

org posting. i haven't been making them as frequently as i used to, but i create something occasionally. =w= or rather, i take an existing song and i just plop it into orgmaker because it's been stuck in my ear for a while and didn't want to leave!

Spoiler: venice temple theme (level 2) from mission: impossible (nes)

you don't get to listen to this song for too long if you follow the intended path, but it's a sweet loop anyway, gives of an aura of mystery and fits its purpose perfectly. classic konami vibes!

Spoiler: song 3 / princess theme from dizzy the adventurer (nes)

i don't think this track has a more "official" name, so i'm calling it the princess theme, since it starts playing after you deliver her the items she wants. not much to say about this song, but i like the feeling of... suspense (?) that it carries - whatever is happening with the bassline and the second background channel just clicks in my head. : P i just like this song and i like the dizzy games.

not many songs this time, but i'll definitely end up posting more once my org itch flares up.

counting your earlier post, there's too many to comment on individually (i'm no hayden), but excellent work on all of them as always! i feel like you have a knack for pushing the orgmaker engine to its limits and replicating sounds that are otherwise difficult for the format, which is impressive.

i will have to 100% disagree with what you said, though, i am absolutely not pushing the engine anywhere : P if there's anyone that's doing that, it's definitely waka in the orgmaker server, i just take nes songs and stuff them into orgmaker without any personal touches 95% of the time. this usually leaves 4-5 channels empty, and that's not exactly limit-breaking in any capacity : D

still, glad you liked them! while they're essentially just nes songs but sounding a little off, it's nice they still get enjoyed one way or another =w=

it's cute. i was kinda hoping it would be longer. there's this current of underlying energy in the track, a kind of springiness?
trivia: -な is added to an adjective specifically when it is modifying a following noun. if you're not 'doing anything' with the adjective, you'd just say 純粋

the drums have a sense of being off-beat in some places, im not sure if thats intentional. but nice brooding atmosphere. I can picture this track playing during a cutscene showing some lower-level bad guys discussing a plan or going about some operation.

Absolutely it was. I almost feel like I copied it 1:1. First time I heard the Azarashi theme was in the SCHISM mod for Cave Story, it has stuck with me ever since.

 

a couple more orgs, with more to come, maybe? i took a liking to these, but hades 2 is eating up my free time like crazy. someone has to make orgs, though, and i think they're neat. =w=

captain tsubasa 1 game, but localised for the west. the story is mostly the same, there are some minor changes but the game plays essentially the same. a few songs are different, though, and this one stands out, as it's the one that greets you when you launch the game!

i took some liberty and added a few tweaks to "enrich" the sounds of the base song; deeper bass, a small modification to the lead... it's not that exciting or anything, since it was mostly a test, or an experiment! wasn't feeling particularly creative that night, but i still wanted to give it a shot. oops

Spoiler: the drive / song 20 from jet set willy PC remake (2005)

you can't make flute sounds using orgmaker! also, the bass doesn't go low enough at times. i could have used a lower octave or something deeper sounding, but i still made what i could with what i had. this is a great song and i hope my rendition is good as well!

be back with more songs soon. maybe from the same games as well. who knows. =w=

this one doesn't sound that well because wave 26 failed me! it doesn't carry that buzziness that the nes instrument does, and it's a little disappointing. oh well, at least it led me towards making another org right after it~

this one, on the other hand, turned out well! the web player exaggerates the bass noise, but everything else is nice and accurate =w= this is one of my favourite nes tunes for sure!

 

Back at it again with another ORG. This one titled "I didn't need to go that hard on the drums.org". Was inspired by "Speed" by Beasty.

the entire game has really good music, but there's something a little bit special about the first stage's theme! i think it also plays in the last level? not sure? i should probably play the game and see, but for now, here's the music ~

i should probably make a folder and get all these in one place, there's more and more that keep popping up and it's all fairly disorganised at the moment -.-'

Both of these are nice, but something makes them feel kind of incomplete... You could totally flesh out 'Solstice' into a nice long full-fledged song. On the other hand I feel like you could shorten 'Tony' into something more like a fanfare. At any rate, you're getting pretty good at org-craft! (that's a word now, yep) You see a lot of covers of other songs in org, which is interesting to see how it's rendered, but it's also really nice to see original music in org because it showcases how people view the medium and how they are influenced to work with it. Keep at it, more tunes please!

A really good one indeed. I feel like I've heard this song before - not the original, but a cover in a game or similar context. It wasn't the game you're covering this from though. Was it in WTF Story? I can't remember...

I know the feeling of something getting out of hand and taking up your day - it's either really fun or really frustrating, or both... But yeah, I see what you mean by calling it a fun theme, it's just... fun. Jumps all around. Lends itself very well to the org medium.

It's past 2 in the morning and I'm not responding to all the older songs in this thread, but suffice to say they're all good. Keep the orgs coming, folks! It means a lot that organya is still alive.
