• Please stop embedding files/images from Discord. Discord has anti-hotlinking logic in place that breaks links to Discord hosted files and images when linked to from anywhere outside of Discord. There are a multitude of file/image hosting sites you can use instead.

I've been working on a cave story mod, and I need some feedback. It's interesting, and allows for some new types of dialogue schemes (Like the one with the two computer documents you can read), but it's a bit awkward to utilize.

If you could make use of both this and the original y/n dialogues through some ASM wizardry, it would make for some fine dialogue!

The 1/2 thing has its uses so I'd keep it. The level design is very nice, I enjoyed it. Some tiling issues, some grammar/spelling mistakes, some TSC errors, but all together pretty good. The ID card's description is incorrect.

There is also a creepy room that you can get to by editing the save file. It plays an INCREDIBLY LOUD version of Flowey's theme and you get stuck in a text loop.

This year has been strange and distressing in many ways, mostly in the latter half. But I still managed to make some small improvements - here's hoping for a nicer year. Let's all work towards something better! ^_^

Man... Fallen Down is another one of those songs. At face value it might not seem like anything special, but when you think about the struggles of the hero in the story in which the song comes from, it really hits you hard. I used to feel the same way whenever I listened to "Plant" from cave story, but I eventually got over that after playing Cave Story for so long.

Oh yeah; the chord progression seems quite unique and gives off that feeling of comfort. (unless you're talking about a different Fallen Down). I'm surprised you bring up "Plant" though; the most track with so much feeling in Cave Story for me was "Toroko's Theme". The New version of Plant, however, did start to make me see something special in it.

It's kinda short for one run, but it'll fill a full day when you play it I guess...
Storyline and some other stuff is pretty good, and the final bosses will blow your socks.
I don't know everything yet though, especially about stuff related to Genocide runs, due to the fact that the game can make you feel bad about even thinking about restarting the game to do genocide.

If you're looking back over the year and thinking "Fuck, I did nothing AGAIN! I'm such a bad person..." keep in mind that millions of other people feel the same way and you don't need to be perfect- you need to be you. Happy new years everybody!
