Finally opened the record player my sister got me for my birthday. It’s pretty neat seeing how vinyls work up close. I guess this means I can finally consider coughing up the cash for that Cave Story vinyl I thought I’d never even think about getting lol

Yeah I'm pretty sure I saw a profile post not too long ago asking andwhy for the info. I'll have to look for it again since I've forgotten the info on how to order it. It's definitely something I will think about even if the price gets upped. The only vinyl I currently own is the Moana soundtrack, which my sister gave me for my birthday along with the record player.

Thinking about restricting the Shotgun from Time Attack mode for a distant video game update. Thoughts?

Personally, I think it doesn't really matter since it's a totally optional part and you can play the time attack mode like in the classic, but a shotgun toggle option would help restrict things more easily

I'm honestly biased against it because of the strict timing to get good speed off of it, and the fact that because reload is so slow, if you mess up it costs a lot of time. Not that big for runs that are so short but it would get really annoying in longer runs. (like 30 minutes or more)

It's still awesome to see it when executed properly though, shotgun tricks are really rad.

Suddenly wondering if the big rock in the labyrinth has any meaning beyond just blocking the way further. Partially because of it's decoration.

There is a teleporter and MonsterX on one side of the rock, and the other, a futuristic base, many dead robots and an angry Core. Perhaps the boulder is recent, like the locked storehouse might have been. Seems possible that the countries of the earth tried to control/destroy the Core of the island, which backfired and made it aggressive. The storehouse blocked Misery & Balrog. Then, who is the boulder for?

It would seem more than likely that Jenka has been around during all the reigns of demon crown wielders.
I'm not sure if it was directly hinted that there have been wars or not, but if we assume there has been at least one then considering the amount of dead robots at the core it's possible that the boulder was there for any future invaders trying to stop the demon crown holder.

After all, if a team of researchers is send to the island it's likely that people on the surface don't know *a lot* about the island. If their hunt for the demon crown leads them to the core all they'd know is that it's an hostile entity, and not the core keeping the island alive. The question begs though how they would get there without the teleporter in Arthur's room...
