I wish I grew up in the 2000s man.
Not like, as a child, because I did. I'm talking being conscious and living through it. I spent hours yesterday just... sifting through tons of old content online and looking at forums and being curious about Kira Buckland's old activity and seeing that she was actually important for forums and stuff.

Me joining my first one in 2012 wasn't enough, it wasn't long before the decline. Maybe this sounds terminally online and there's much more to life than internet forums, but I wish I was there during the best days. The past year or so just had me thinking that I don't know what role I have in this world.

my first online space was a forum board... i don't miss that place in particular, but i hold a lot of nostalgia for the format, it's probably (outside of my eternally lingering CS fixation) one of the main reasons i still hang around here

my excuse is that my mac's wine installation is still broken but really it's been busted for ages and i do have a perfectly functional windows laptop these days... ahh i just really dislike navigating windows though...!!!

tiktok died and came back in under a day. like, i'm not religious or anything, but that's like, a way shorter time than fucking jesus christ's death and resurrection. and he was dead for 3 days!! like, if jesus stays dead for longer than you then there's probably a problem!!

So something really interesting happened on tiktok actually,

Donald Trump struck a private deal with the company, and it seems the algorithms of the website were immediately tuned afterwards as that deal was struck. He's taking advantage of the new laws that got settled here in the US to basically let the platform bias the coverage away from him and some other stuff that has yet to be found because by its nature its kindof a black box.

When you hover over someone's username on this website there should be a button somewhere that says "Send Direct Message", if it's not visible there then you could try checking their profile page directly.

New Accounts can't Direct Message (unless this was changed at some point in forum updates). You have to have a set number of posts first until the option to DM people becomes available.

Just made big break through in my opinion(I figured out how to implement the debug save without having to use mods!!)((I couldn't find anything about how to do it. So I had to just look around in the code.))(((Still very exciting in my opinion!!)))
